The Meaning of God (in One Piece)
Enel was the first character who called himself a god. Now we also have Loki, who calls himself the sun god. I believe Enel stole multiple things from Birka that drove him insane:
- old technology stolen from the ancient kingdom, which perished 800 years ago, blueprints to build a flying golden spaceship powered by electricity, the Arc Maxim
- the thunder fruit and the secret knowledge to combine it with Mantra (Observation Haki). This can be compared to humanity stealing the Apple of knowledge in the Bible from garden eden and getting cursed by god.
- knowledge of the flooding catastrophe and sinking of the ancient kingdom, which cost unimaginable casulties, this is why he calls people from below the clouds "blue sea people", he knew these peoples kingdoms where flooded 200 meters beneath the ocean in ancient times. He believed god would have won if the sky islands did not exists. The sky islands where a refuge for people fleeing from their sinking home islands. This is why he wanted to destroy the sky islands, as they where unnatural, since god did not anticipate the peoples survival on them.
So in conclusion God might be a title for somone who has acquired forbidden knowledge in the world of one piece This knowledge empowers them to achieve unbelieveable things. One who as sinned to discover a truth.
Infinite Power ⚡⚡⚡
This is a quite long post condensing the meaning of "god" in the story of one piece, connecting them with "infinite" power sources like the mother flame. It tries to reason about the meaning of creation/reality itself in the world of One Piece.
- Vegapunk says he needs infinite power, an eternal flame. Energy is all around them, but they can not harvest it. 🔥
- Enel represents a concept of the villain, who stole infinte power (the thunder devilfruit) from a holy land (Birka), that he later destroyed. That infinite power source it what he later used to power up the automata on the moon! Enough to power an ancient city for his livetime!
- of course Vegapunk is searching for something even more impressive than that power of a mere Logia, a power he could easily ask the World Government for: He needs a power source so insanely strong it can power even an ancient weapon. Destroy an island so throughoutly, only an infinte hole remains. Weirdly enough the hole left after Lulusias destruction does not collapse in on itself. Yet a waterfall keeps falling into the hole. A hole in reality itself 🕳. The mother flame is able of that feat, no Logia power could achieve this.
- Enel represents an all knowing being in his micro cosm. Using the power of the thunder fruit combined with Mantra he was able to observe everyones thoughts in his realm (upper yard)
- Enel comes from a city called Birka (Birka was an ancient Nordic Viking Village, located in Denmark irl), that he destroyed himself. It must have been very technologically advanced similar to Vegapunks egghead science island. They knew how to construct electric motors and machines like toothed gear and even how to educate their lowliest citizens, like Enel, to supervise the construction and maintainance of a flying ship of great complexity. They knew about golds excellent conductivity, while the people of the golden city Shandora did not know the value of gold. Enel knew about the gold there, before he found it.
- Birka is also where Enel stole the knowledge how to build a ship to escape the planet to the moon: The Arc Maxim. This ship is the only independently flying, devilfruit powered physically flying object in all of One Piece. Yes, even Vegapunks Robot can only fly within the atmosphere of his climate system. Which means Enels ship is a more universal flying vehicle. Morgans flying news office is the only comparable ship I see in the Manga.
- escaping to his own planet unbenknowst to Enel, freed him from the powers of the "surface" of the world, the World Government
Logia Power limitations
- Knowing all this, and the limitations of Logia devilfruit energy, lets get back to what a Logia can not achieve, but the Energy Vegapunk speaks of can. An infinte power something that lasts forever, like
- the hatred of the sea for devil fruit user
- the Haki applied to a black blade.
- a hole in reality itself, where Lulusia once was. Erasing something from reality.
- this is why these powers are holy in a sense, because their effects last forever in the world
- The Creator of the world must have a similar story compared to Enel in concept, but on an even greater global scale. and he watches Luffy through his journey. Sometimes he finds his adventures funny (the sun shines), sometimes tragic (it rains / snows), or exciting (the thunderstorm). And it is not Imu.
- the weather often changes, in One Piece to show the mood of the story
- we also know that Yonko mood swings influence weather patterns
The Creator, a concept of God that trancends Enel
- Oda can be seen as a creator of infinite power in the universe of One Piece. He is able to create the reality, and erase things from reality, as he sees fit.
- The Bible Kuma carries around has physical locations written into it (as Bonney found the Sky islands in chapter 1097). The Bible in the one piece stands for how god created the locations the One Piece world is composed off.
- Enel escaped Odas creation by escaping to the moon, from the real story into a cover page story.
- By doing this he escaped the god of the one piece, breaking the 4th wall.
- we established before how Enel parallels Imu
- I also believe Imu wants to be his own creator. He rejects his creator
- this fits well with the Satanic design Oda went with for One of the 5 Elders, Saturn emerging from a Pentagramm, a demonic summoning circle
Let me start with a question: Why does god not erase the devil from existence? It should be in his ability.
- the devil escaped the creator and he is undefeatable by the creator himself
- this becomes especially important when considerign the Satanic element of Imu.
- Pentagramm summoning of the 5 elders
- this is why the creator created free willed individuals to challange the Devil in their own way (like Luffy), since his way is not working
- this becomes especially important when considerign the Satanic element of Imu.
These thoughts are all over the place, but may explain the disccussions fans have had:
- is Luffy free willed or a slave to his own fate?
- what is the meaning of "god" related to Nika, what is the value of the title "god" of one piece
- why does Vegapunk just use a Logia to attain infinte power he dreams of (see limitations of Logia power)
Did you start to catch up when post ts already started? Most people I hear from who started pre timeskip prefer the pre timeskip moments...
- for my fav moment: Enel discovering the golden Bell in chapter 295 commenting
The Bell that ushered in 400 years of fighting! Wonderful. As the Kami I will take this with me and finish my ascent to endless varse!!
- shows his twisted view on history
- and gets turned around by Luffy punching him into the Bell, ringing in the peace
One Piece chapter 720
Interesting the demolition of the ring was a prepared for event. A spare ring was prepared to replace, so the show could go on after a 15 minute delay.
Bartholomeo describes how he witnessed Luffy being saved from Buggys execution in chapter 100. He witnessed the lightning strike that miraciously saved Luffy (perhaps initiated by Dragon).
Don Chinjaos character did a 180° turn after his defeat. He even wants to place his grandsons Happo Army under Luffys command. Perhaps this shows the real value of the treasure under the ice sheet.
Rebecca/ Gladiator prison cell scene is quite sad. Seeing the gladiators in that sorry state with all these amputations and bandages.
Imu: Introduced to late?
Imu was first introduced in chapter 906 as the secret ruler watching a misterious strawhat. The "empty" throne he sits on was introduced in chapter 907. He sat on the throne again 100 (or more) chapters later, when he kills King Cobra.
I wittnessed multiple comments complaining that the empty throne was introduced just before Imu had a seat on it, lessening the impact of the audacity to sit on that precious throne. Would you agree?
Is Imu just a character to lay blame on for all the bad things that happen in the world? The root cause of evil?
- fishmen slavery lead to Hordy Jones and Arlong
- pirate hunting lead to Kuro, Buggy, etc.
- erasure of ancient history (Robin)
- Kaidos (and Bigmoms) childhood was made a lot worse by the World Government...
"Ach wie gut dass niemand weiss, dass ich Rumpelstielzchen heiß" is the popular exclamation in a old and popular german story. "Oh how good that nobody knows my name is Rumpelstielzchen." The villain of the story "Rumpelstielzchen" bets against the beuatiful maid she will never guess his name. But she observes him deep at night dancing around a campfire while singing this song. I think it could be similar to Imu: His name and past is his weakness.
[Analysis] Bounty Hunters in the One Piece World
Here I want to discuss every Bounty Hunter mention in One Piece.
- Zoro was a Bounty Hunter called "Pirate Hunter"
- he hunted pirates together with two Bounty hunters called "Johnny" and "Yosaku" -- the two attacked the going merry ship in chapter 40.
- Kuro Mentions it is hard being a pirate: Always being hunted by "Marines, Spies and Bounty hunters. I grew sick of the relentless harassment." in chapter 37. He says this directly to Luffy.
- Blackbeard was hunting strong pirates to become one of the 7 Warlords. He hunted Luffy in chapter XXX and Ace in Chapter XXX -- to get favors with the Government catching high Bounty pirates. I would call that a Bounty hunter, eventhough he quickly changed his job.
- In the Dressrosa Colluseum there is a Bounty hunter fighting Luffy in chapter 716. He Mentions the Impel Down Breakout gives him large amounts of profit, since he can cash in on the escapees.
- One of the members of the Underworld invited to Big Moms Tea party is "Drug Peclo "the "Undertaker". He has no Bounty. Seems like a Bounty hunter to me.
So there are some Bounty Hunter like characters in One Piece.
Since so much time is spent on highlighting Bounties in One Piece, it is interesting we have not found a Bounty hunter who can hunt professionally in the new world. Maybe they just serve as incentive for Admirals or Sword (Garp) to hunt the Yonko crews? Do you think we will ever get such a bounty hunter?
Whiskey Peak Analysis.
I always forget about the encounter with Robin.
Originally written in a kdenlive project focussing on whiskey peak I made 2.12.24 No other arc has shaped the trajectory of One Piece like Whiskey peak 🏝 🔜. Seemingly random events lead to extremely long lasting consequences 🎲:
- meeting the Princess of Alabasta Vivi and defending her from Baroque works. 1000 chapters later Vivi remains an important ally of the straw hats ⌛
- Luffy destroyed Robins eternal pose, forcing the route through little Garden. Thereby Elbaf was made possible. 🧭💥 (this scene reminds me of the epic scene of Luffy destroyign the eternal pose to laughtale in film red)
This arc feels like is weaving fate with a extremely random events-list that is still somehow forgettable, since the arc is extremely short by One Piece standards.
And then there is also the fight between Zoro and Luffy on Whiskey peak due to a misunderstanding. My guess is that Oda found a fight of Zoro and Luffy vs Mrs. Valentine and Mr. 5 to boring, since they would easily be defeated. This is why Oda made it more difficult by letting Zoro and Luffy fight.
Alvida is far more important than recognized
Alvida is the first antagonist Luffy faces in chapter 2 of the story. She is also the first female pirate and devilfruit user.
Crazy Contacts: She meets Buggy, Portogas D Ace, Crocodile and even Mihawk in the story. These characters are the most important overarching story arcs.
Boa Hancock prototype: She declares herself the most beautiful women in the world and says shee chooses Luffy as her men in chapter 100, because of his strength. In this regard she was earlier than Boa Hancock. Also most men fall for her after she ate her devilfruit.
Own cover story: Around chapter 52 she gets her own cover story arc with Buggy, forming an alliance that lasts long after post timeskip.
Luffy called her a "tough looking women" in chapter 2
Yonko Foreshadowing: Her iron mace reminds of Kaidos, while her appearance reminds of big mom.
Gin is also one of the characters that returned after a long wait, but he is member of the Blackbeard pirates.
Odas Plans for Alvida: The cross guild is one of the competitors for the One Piece. And ironically Alvida works at the guild under Crocodiles command. This could lead to Alvida even reaching Laughtale together with Buggy and Crossguild. The first villain to loose to Luffy could be on the final island.
Often past events of #onepiece are specified as precisely certain number of years in the past
- Enel destroyed Birka 8 years ago (post ts)
- Loki is chained and imprisoned in the underworld for 6 years
- Shanks became emperor 6 years ago
- 200 years ago Emeth attacked Meri Joa on top of the red line but was defeated
- 200 years ago fighting fish arrive and seperate Greenbit and Dressrosa
- 800 years ago the World government was formed
Botany in the World of One Piece
Noland may be the most famous Botanist, who traveled the world with an entire crew of Botanists. He knew about the tree fever that affected the Shandian tribe. And researched other tree species.
One Piece is actually filled with references to plant live. Here I will list the most important plants mentioned.
- Treasure Tree Adam
- the pirate ship of the main character, the 1000s Sunny, is built from Adam wood, which is undestructible.
- the wood is sold at black markets of water 7
- Sunlight Tree Eve
- its roots shed light at fishmenisland 1000 feet below sea level
- Sabaody Archipeligo Mangroves
- these Mangroves create an entire artificial island in the ocean. This is why no logpose points to the Mangroves.
- the Mangroves produce a sticky liquid, which can form air- and watertight bubbles that rise into the air, but can also coat ships.
- Smile Fruit Tree
- Doflamingo used the Tontatta, who where expert Plant keepers, to breed the smile fruit, an artifical devil fruit from plants
- Usopp Pop-Green:
- Skypia Giant Jagg Beanstock
- a gigantic beanstock.
- in fact all trees on skypia grow gigantic, perhaps because of the Pyrobloin/seastone, but can not reproduce, due to the lack of soil.
- Yggdrasil at Elbaf
- a tree so gigantic it hosts multiple giant towns on its second level.
- giant canons are mounted on its second level.
- Loki is chained to the treetrunk of Yggdrasil.
One Piece Second Opening "Believe"
The opening came to my attention after rewatching the Reverse Mountain arc. (Contains the prominent phrase wonderland)
This opening reminds me of the movie "Jangos Dance Carnival" which was made in the early 2000s, and you recognize that by its style some might call "Europop". Nostalgia. #OnePiece #Nostalgia
While searching for this I found this by accident: https://lbry.projectsegfau.lt/@sliimacovers:2
chapter 718 analysis
We can see the Tontatta airport. They seem quite technologically advanced? Is this because of their closer connection to the ancient kingdom? Funny how Zoro found the secret base before Franky without even questioning his location, rather looking Luffy fight Don Chinjao on Tv.
Nami vs Gyola. Strength wise not an intersting fight. But the references are interesting. Namis climatact is transformed into an abstract art peace depicting mouth, Violin key sign, keyboard keys, and a gloating clock. She also creates eyes that remind me of Imus eyes.
Giant Bannerman
"Queue the song Tanks go to battle, inspiring aggressive war epic" (can be found on youtube) The World Government envied them for their strength. They tried to scientifically reproduce their strength; without success. Meanwhile their negative properties seem to be Stubborness and Hotheadedness; The love to fight, die without a reason other than pride.
They where feared throughout the oceans. Their Swords, Axes, Helmets and Speartips blinked in the sun, while their footsteps sounded like approaching deep thunder. The army of giants had arrived.
Bringers of Ragnarök, the end of the world.
Punk Hazard Analysis & Headcanon
Just rewatching some of Punk Hazard why doing my ~/Videos/punk hazard edit
- when the sunny first arrived above Ocean level from fishmen island it was dragging a giant undersea beast with it on a rope. A caribou reference, since it was a later unwanted pessanger dragged through to the ocean surface like Caribou was a blind pessanger? Traitor theories or analogies might arise from this.
- Usopp was first in noticing Monets presence, while the others charged ahead. His observation Haki seemed to activate there, Luffy and Zoro did not notice. Chapter 657
- In chapter 958 Cesar mentions how special Frankies laser thechnology is, since only Vegapunk made it for the Pacifista. Cool detail in my opinion, it ties up with Frankies timeskip and is mentioned at egghead island again.
- Luffys straw hat was freezing cold when he arrived at Ajokijis frozen Antarctic side after traveling Akainus part of the island chapter 661. I draw two conclusions from this
- The frozen straw hat in Meri Joa may be foreshadowed by this
- Ajokiji is a greater threat to Luffy than Akainu, Luffy did easily climatize on Akainus side but was threatened by the cold and had to steal clothes from one of Cesars Lackeys. tldr: The cold is Luffys/Nikas weaknes
Smoker vs Law on Punk Hazard is one of the best fights in One Piece
Chapter 661 it starts. Great dilaouge Law to Tashigi:
The weak do not have the right to choose how they Die
Great careography. Law still needs to dodge Smokers seastone blade. Smoker also uses armament Haki on his fists to gip or damage Law. Also smoker tries to surround law using his devilfruit ability.
Good ending with Law stealing smokers heart.
Smoker in chapter 664:
As long as man joins together to conspire against man, there is no such thing as a perfect untainted organization. assumptions will let the real enemey walk free! Do not be deceived by appearances.
Is this why he left the Navy and joined sword?
Mountain Gods origin theory:
- Elbaf has mountain gods, 5 giant beasts
- Rusikaine, the island Luffy trained on during the timeskip also housed giant beasts.
- Wano had a giant boar or pig, which was known as a mountain god. We know the world was flooded 200 meters in the past. All islands in the present story are mountain peaks. I believe during flooding animals where fleeing to hight places. These animals need a lot of food, they eat other animals.
- these animals fought each other to death to eat each other.
- the few animals that remain are the biggest and strongest; Mountain gods.
The Snow Queen
Usopp built a snow sculpture named the snow queen before Whiskey Peak. In chapter 106.
- the snow queen might be related to Imu
- Luffy destroyed the snow queen using the snowmen who fell from the sky
- Luffy fell down from the sky, landing in front of Nami, when he was grabbed by a giant bird and flown to orange-town.
- there is a good theory by youtuber Tainted Marth it relates to a Snow-Queen movie from the soviet union.
Imus destruction of Lulusia kingdom
This kingdom never existed. It is erased from the face of the earth.
Originally written in the kdenlive project Imuedit2.kdenlive: Imu destroys Lulusia kingdom. That kingdom "never existed" facts have been rewritten.
In these scenes I see much symbolism:
- the all seeing eye of god; eye of providence; 👁🔼
- the movement of a butterfly may cause a tsunamy 🦋
- chaos theory
- many butterflies are surrounding Imu in his flowergarden during the scene of destruction of Lulusia kingdom.
- the occupant of the empty throne still stays hidden
More related: Sallah WG is a member of the worstgen Forum and inspired me to write this:
- the author of a story has absolute control over his creation. If something should not exist by the will of the creator of the story, it will be non existant to the reader of the story. What if Imu is "the author" of the one piece world, changing its composition on a whim? God like powers, infinte livespan, and erasing places from existance like it is the "set-difference" operation applied to the real world seem to be natural to him.
- ink is black. armament Haki is black. It is changing fate of the story.
The Satelites of Vegapunk
Most of Vegapunks Satelites where created as tools for Vegapunk to use to further his research. But two where created for his bodily functions:
- York/Greed takes care of the bodily functions
- Violence was created to defend egghead island
I think VP Evil Lilith was created for scientific exploration unhindered by moral considerations. Only for evil it would be okay to team up with pirates and fight the marines while exploring forbidden history and lore. The rest of the Vegapunks where created for data collection and logic directly helping the Stella Vegapunk.
Is Vegapunk(VP) immortal due to Punk records independence? The brain is supposedly only a giant data storage drive but for that it is drawn very detailed multiple times while Elder Mars question what Vegapunks death really means. Maybe Punk Records is like a giant computer that is only capable of executing an algorithm / plan VP already prepared.
Reverse mountain is one of the craziest one piece arcs.
A whale is blocking the entry "river" into an ocean. A traveling pirate ship gets eaten by the whale. On its outside there is an iron door.
A doctor, the medic of the pirate king, tries to help the giant whale from inside its stomach. He has hos own house inside the whales. But whale hunters have infiltrated the whale to hunt for its meat. Luckily our main characters save the whale and the doctor.
The fact that Luffy promised Laboon to fight again makes me wonder, will they fight again for real? Would gear5 Luffy be neeed.
The fact that the pirate kings name was mentioned at the end of the Arc is also interesting, directly hinting that Crocus was member of the pirate kings crew. #OnePiece_Analysis
Also we see the red line for the first time in the story at this point, which would be surprising and aweinspiring for a new reader.
The Worst Generation, where is Urouge?
Where is Urouge? It gets unkanny of all other members of the Worst generation have gotten focus but Urouge is still missing after 500 (and more) chapters of the new worlds exploration by the main characters. Every of the worst generation got some attentions in (multiple) post timeskip arcs arcs :
- Bonney: Egghead
- Kid, Law: their defeat in egghead
- Kid, Law, Apoo, Hawkins: Wano
- Bege: Whole Cake island. We even got a canon backstory.
- Law: Dressrosa, Zou, Punk-Hazard
Urouge was only mentioned a few times but never got an arc for himself:
- at the beginning of the Punk Hazard ark he goes to the most dangerous island that is constantly struck by thunderstorms, the same island Smoker expected Luffy to go to: Rajin island.
- he defeated one of Big Moms sweet commanders at whole cake island for unknown reasons.
- at the beginning of Kaidos introduction he witnesses Kaido jumping of a sky island in the new world It always seems like he is one step ahead of the straw hats while avoiding a major clash or attention with any Yonko.
Popular theories on Urouges return work off some hints:
- Urouge is a member of the winged people, like the Birkans and Skypians
- the shape of Urouges wings remind of Birkan wings, as there are visual differences between the Birkans wings folding down, while the Skypians and Shandians Wings curve upwards.
- Urouge has a religous "Monk" theme. His ephitet is "Mad Monk"
- Uruouge is almost always smiling. He did not smile when he saw an island struck by thunder.
This lead to speculation of him being one of Enels priests before betraying him. This would explain ...
- his pirate crews name "the fallen monk pirates" as his fall from a sky island made them "fallen ones"
- his other Religious themes, like Karmic return and constant praying. Birka has a strict authority based on religion, where the ruler assumes the title "god".
- stopping smiling when witnessing an island struck by constant thunder, as his enemy Enel defeated him with lightning strikes
- Enel had 4 priests. Imu has 5 elders at his disposal, the betrayel of a priest explains the discrapancy.
Urouge fights with a giant metal column, cylindrical in shape. This hints at skills at metal processing and attaining metal resources. Enel decorated himself with golden jewlery and knew of the metalurgy of gold being an excellent conductor to build his flying ship powered by electrical engines.
But if we consider Hawkins never got a backstory before his death in Wano, and he only got a fight against Killer, it is possible Urouge is similar minor character destined to be defeated by a minor side character.
chapter 719 analysis
Don Chinjao Flashback happens here. This statement caught my attention:
Centuries worth of our peoples treasure!
So is this treasure dated before the Void Century? You can spot one of these crosses, that also is often spotted with Perona. And was in the golden treasure in Skypia. It also is in the Kozuki crest.
Also makes me wonder: All the troubles of Kano Kingdom are related to this flashback?
Happo navy and Garps navy / World government marines seem like strong contenders in the flashback.
I still wonder how important was Chinjao in the previous generation. He knew Rayleigh and whitebeards legendary status.
Luffys attack is called Thor Elephant Gun. So Enels El-Thor attack is not the only attack named after the thundergod Thor.
the hidden islands discussion with joyboy, Sun God vs. Sun God
- the 2 of them
- Elbaf is the last hurra before the Marineford of the final war.
- no one was expecting 5 Elders to show up at egghead island: "Well that escelated quickly"
- Loki was originally giving Hidden King Riku vibes when it comes to the Lola rejection flashback
- Loki was quikly introduced but still with nuance. He gives me personally norse Mercenary vibes.
- the story of Loki as this cursed Child since birth seems wrong. Why do the giants hate Loki this much.
Serpent/Dragon connection in One Piece mentioned by hidden:
- Nola snake, was prayed to by Skypia
- Snakemen Luffy Gear 4
- Kaido - giant Serpent
- Celestial Dragons; Use of the title My additions:
- snake princess Hebihime; Legend of petrification: Medusa
- Punk Hazard; Why did Vegapunk clone dragons?
- Punk Hard; Little girl as illusion of a serpent after taking Cesars drugs.
ZKK fandom theory
ZKK is an abbreviation for Zoro Kills Kaido. This was once a popular theory among One Piece and especially Zoro fans.
This theory has been now proven wrong since Wano ended and the scene has grown quiet.
Sometimes inside jokes are made among believers, referring to ZKK: for example the theory "zoro kills king" became true while coincidently having the same abbreviation.
Odas best foreshadowing moments?
- Kinemon hating the Dragons in Punk Hazard, kicking its defeated Body irritating even Brook in chapter 682; Later Kaido, who is his greates enemy, is also a Dragon.
One Piece theory: Sleeping Gas and the Yeti cool brothers
So this is a really short theory. We know now there is sleeping(hypnotic) gas fog zone before you reach Elbaf. This is how Road captured the sleeping straw hats 🌀😴 .
The Yeti cool brothers also laid the straw hats to sleep in punk Hazard using sleeping gas. This way they defeated Zoro, Sanji and Brook by laying them to sleep. I thik they took the sleeping gas from exactly that fog zone, where Road also got the sleeping gas and filled it into a bottle.
I think this connects the Yeti cool brothers to Elbaf. specifically the under world for obvios reasons:
- they wear gas-masks, just like Lokis underlings in the underworld 😷
- they are very cold resistant, well suited for the underworld with constantly snowing freezing climate 🌨
- they are specialized to hunt in snowy mountains. The underworld of Elbaf is very mountainous. Theory:
- Yeti cool brothers get sleeping gas from the fog before Elbaph before they deploy on their bounty missions ⛵🧭 #onepiece #onepiece-theory
No get even further: Sleeping gas and dreams might be related, connecting to devil-fruits 🍍🌳. Eternal dreams can be created by overdosing humans with sleeping gas; in such a process Human dreams or desires turn into devilfruits. Is it a coincidence the Adam tree is surrounded by fog made of sleeping gas, or is it directly related to the creation of devil fruits on that giant ancient tree and the Eve tree 🌳?
Blackbeard is unable to sleep; dream. His devilfruit power is to negate devilfruit powers. And most of the time the character fits the devilfruit in One Piece:
- Doflamingo controls everything: Strings
- Ajokiji is cold. He learned to hide his feelings well
- Akainu is often hot headed and angry: The magma fruit fits him
- Sabo wants to light the fire of revolution: the mera-mera fits him
- Perona the ghost princess.
- Moria, shadow fruit. He is a shadow of his former self. Instead of forming real connections he uses a Zombie army since he lost to Kaido
Nami will be more important ~ Photographic memory
There are complaints we never see Nami working on accomplishing her dream. We once see Nami working on maps/cartography at Reverse Mountain 🗺 . But then never again. Now in Elbaf it was revealed Nami has photographic memory and can throw maps away once she scanned them 📸, Nami shortly reads the map of Roads prison room on Elbaf and immideatly throws the map away to Usopss surprise in chapter 1130(ish)? She explains she knows every location now.
chapter 134
Luffy to Sanji:
By the way, did you know that people who live in snow countries do not sleep?
Well if they fall asleep they die.
Blackbeard can not sleep.
Luffy:
I heared it long ago in a village tavern.
Shanks did know of Blackbeards ability to not sleep back then. How much did he tell Luffy?
Sanji to Luffy:
Why are you not waring socks? Just looking at you makes my feet hurt.
A sign of Luffys cold resitance?
Chapter 1029 reaction: The cursed Prince
Loki looks metal, like straight up from the warhammer 40k universe. Chained up giant in an icy forest snowstorm. Blindfolded and tatoos over his entire exposed upper body. Still his first sentence is: "State your name." As if he was in control of his prison.
chapter 610
Luffy got poisoned without even noticing it. After chopper notifies him he has a strong poison resistance, Luffy mentioned:
Poison? well, at impel down i kinda got poisoned to death. ha ha ha... It was probably him (thinks of Magellan) Usopp: That is nothing to laugh about.
Such a cool buildup to the poison resitance reveal.
Luffy, once Big Moms Candy factories are mentioned:
Big mom... she is one of the four emperors, like Shanks. I wonder if we weill even meet her.
Ironic. Sharley predicts Straw hat Luffy will destroy fishmen island. Wonder what this prophecy will hold. amazing to think sharley is Arlongs half sister.
Reactions Chapter 1125
York managed to shoot off the connection of Punk Records to the Labotory stratum, so Edison could only get the Punk Records. At least some competence on Yorks part. I wonder how Garling will treat her though, since he said he will take responsibilty of York now. Garling had already tortured a Celestial Dragon to death and seems quite fanatic in the defense of the Celestial Dragons traditions, for example in the human hunt at God Valley. Compared to Saturn Garling seems archaic and brutal in more direct ways.
- the Punk Records leaving on a sky island is a fitting ending, especially when he contacts a similar artificial floating island that was introduced ~500+ chapters ago: Weatheria, a weather manipulating sky island. It reminds me of Enerus departure to the moon, escaping into the sky.
- Vegapunk can no longer research, since his laboratory stayed back at egghead island and lacks research funds. I believe he will have only a purely information based impact. So it is not too big of a deus-ex-machine.
- Saturns death seems to relate to extremely fast aging. He lived for more than 200 years. Once Imu removed the mandate of infinte livettime he died off old age and turned into a Skeleton as would be natural.
- this may relate to Luffys statement to Kaido: once you die there is nothing left but bones
- Brook, the Skull on the pirate flag. They all seems to a common theme of death and the underworld. I wonder if Imu is connected to that?
Saturn: I want to live! Imu: nope! not today!
Vegapunk Shaka: I think we should backup our brain into the cloud storage! Some Vegapunk: Say no more!
Recently got into watching op edits again https://yewtu.be/feed/channel/UCNXg5ofrQVXIxAnhviifTkA
Chapter 1026
- Chapter starts with a celebration on the Giants ship. Good vibes, but too much alcohol imo 🍻. Green Absynth that causes hallucinations?
- Wtf Shanks allowed the destruction of Bartos crew mercilessly. This is what happens if you burn a Yonkos pirate flag I guess 🔥
- Blackbeard has a plan. His crew is stupid 💀. The opposite of Luffy. All of Blackbeards crew arrive at his home base, while Laffitte observes Revolutionary army activity, he seems to be the only one who has an idea on Blackbeards plans.
- The Yonko crew got drunk and lost their captain while traveling the ocean 😴. Meanwhile Nami wakes up inside a giant castle made out of gigantic lego stone bricks. WTF is Oda smoking 🚬.
Chapter 1124 predictions
Prepare for some crazy takes: Rob Lucci meets Stussy: He is out for vengence but weakened due to his battle with Zoro. Kaku escapes he can not bring himself to face Lucci. The islands climate control system will fail, the island will revert to become snowy. A snow storm ravages the island. The perfect atmosphere for tragedy. Vegapunks brain "punk records" becomes self concious since Vegapunks antenna is out of range. It will get explained what death means to Vegapunk stella. Lilith, the evil Sattelite, will wake up and realize she is the only "good one" left, she swears vengence on York.
Chapter 1115 (27.5.23) Release
- The flooding was 200 meters high. Frankys submarine can dive 5000 meters deep. So why has no one discovered the ancient ruins that slumber under the water?
- I do not get: Poseidon was supposed to sink the entire planet into the sea. Now there are multiple ancient weapons which all relate to sinking the earth under the sea.
Chapter 1125 What I do not get:
- Is Stussy really dead, she is a Vampire after all? (I would not trust Oda to have removed Stussy from the story)
- her Vampire abilities still need explaination
Vegapunk says on the page before the last-page:
Until the day all of humanity can access our brain we have to keep Punk Records save. It will probably be at least **500 years. I assume you used a roaming cloud?
Why exactly 500 years? My headcanon explainer: It is a roaming cloud which can only make random movements and not be steered intentionally. This means Punk Records will be unreachable to physical contact for 500 years.
- So there are 4 giant bridges the World government builds over 700 years:
- Tequila Wolf
- Vodka Wolf
- Rum Wolf
- Bourbon Wolf Are they all connected to the same goal? Alcohol? Whiskey Peak?
chapter 131
Zoro spots a man standing on Water -- is that a Jesus reference? Wapol owns a submarine, one of the most expensive types of ships. This indicates the wealth of his nation. And submarines should be useful as well once the planet floods.
Wapol while eathing the going Merry:
This ship is quite tasty Is he referring to the soul of the ship?
Zoro and Sanji beating Fodder on the going merry, nostalgic, I want to see that scene in the Anime again. Combat on the sea, a fight between 2 priate crews. Zoro bout Wapols men:
They are all show

Chapter 1135
bibelot is the library director in Elbaf. He is a giant owl. His name was first stated in chapter 1135. He can gigantify books so giants can read them. I wonder if this relates to gigantification research done by the world gov. in Cesar laboratory. The giant children we see at Walrus school immidetly remind of the children in Cesars candy room.
do not cause a scene! But that was a solid first strike!
Supportive mother Ripley raises her son Colon in warriors spirit lmao meanwhile the gods knights are confronted with two giant viking barbarians in full gear. But the knight girl causes him pain and is annoyed with him. Is it a devilfruit power or some black magic like the teleportation pentagram?
chapter 1134 "Owl library"
- the evil Shanks who teleported in with his Uta-like companion will first have an epic feat that will demonstrate his powers in multiple possible ways:
- kill Saul
- burn down the Owl library and the shool
- reveal he killed king Harold, and Lokis innosence
- destroy the box with Vegapunks dead clone inside of it (that is at least how I hope this goes)
- Who could the companion of evil Shanks be? There are multiple ways:
- Uta-like character. Most one piece movies have some elements that are made canon in the real story later. Evil Uta will summon demons on purpose.
- Shiki from Film Strong World
- Sora-like.
- Vegapunk-Lilith like. Highly intelligent, manipulative and teachnologically advanced
- anyways she also must be an agent of the world government.
- Uta-like character. Most one piece movies have some elements that are made canon in the real story later. Evil Uta will summon demons on purpose.
Interesting that evil Shanks and his companion teleported in right in front king Heralds empty throne. They are somehow connected to Heralds death and wand to cause a war at Elbaph, while it is Shanks territory.
Luffy might be the villain of this arc. He seems dissapointed in the new peaceful Elbaph, expecting the children to chase them. His comments once the girls stop the boys from chasing the "puny humans" as prisoners of war:
They are so lame!
He also looks dissapointed once Ripley tells Luffy that a new era of peace arrived in Elbaph.
Luffy does not love peace. He loves to get into fights, see who is stronger. He is more in line with Lokis edgy philosophy than with Ripleys & Harolds peace and trade. Once Ripley understands the warrior of liberation brings chaos she might change her opinion on him.
The two knights landed by teleportation cicle inside the castle infront of an empty throne. The window of the castle are destroyed, the throne is ehavily damaged. The two knights are clothed in black robes.
On the color spread: Franky is the main focus of the color spread. This may be because the voice actor of franky has retired in old age.
- everyone who tells me that Oda is abad artist, look at this painted 3D model of franky, and its glossyness.
Also: Vegapunk has his own Clone in a box. Kinda explains the Vegapunks' attitude towards the entire assassinations too. As long as Punk Records and at least one Vegapunk remains, they can rebuild the bodies. It's wild that that even works for the original VP, since he never was a robot to begin with, but then again, he's also the leading authority on cyborgs.
And he truly uses his fruit to insane level, as his brain can house 6 additional personalities just like that. Oda really let it sink in slowly how insane VP's science is.
chapter 660
Frozen Giants. The children call them:
The frozen ones
Smoker vs Law begins.
chapter 133
Lapins are introduced, vicious flesh eating rabbits. Dalton, as chief village guard, recognizes Vivi, but not her name and position. Pleading for a Doctor in a nation without Doctors made him consider the Strawhats because of empathy, having experienced a nation without any Doctors / Doctor shortage.
reread (rr): Chapter 515-516:
-
Luffy promises to himself he is going to get stronger then his opponents. It shows 3 panels of Kuma, Sentonmaru and Kizaru. All these characters returned at egghead island, and their flashbacks show they have a deeper connection between each other. Kizaru and Sentenmaru visited Vegapunk and Kuma, while curing Bonney. Sentemaru later became Vegapunks Bodyguard, as was stated in Sabaody Archipeligo.
-
Maguerite is really helpfull to Luffy. She decided to save him from the Mushrooms and bring him to the town. She gave him his clothes during captivity. She gave him back his vivre card (and removed the frills from his clothing). She explains to him how the hirachy of the island works, and the strongest become pirates who have access to ships.
-
she also saved Luffy from drowning when he built his own raft. Honestly it is insane how much Luffy is saved in that arc.
-
in chapter 518 she even spoke up for Luffy during his execution.
If I spend to much time with you I might start to like you. ~ Maguierite
- Apperently the Neptunians use the calm belt as their spawning ground. Which makes this related to the ancient weapon Poseidon and sea kings in my opinion.
Chapter 1116 Release (1.6.2024)
- the spoilers where pretty complete. Only artistic choices completed the chapter.
- the snail is hosted inside the ancient robot. I was a fan of the prediction that Dragon was hiding the snail with the revolutionary army. Sadly this is not the case. This means Dragons "..." reactions do not link to a greater plan.
- The most important point Vegapunk makes is the moral ambiguity of the void century war: Joyboy made it possible to preserve the ancient weapons over 800 years, so they will be reborn again and again. this creates the following questions:
- why sustain weapons that are able to sink the entire planet, joyboy?
- did the 20 kingdoms justify their war against joyboy with the creation of the perpetuation ancient weapons?
- did joyboy create the ancient weapons? he came from an advanced kingdom. He enabled the constant rebirth of Poseidon for the next 800 years. In that way he is responsible for the existance of Shirahoshi as Poseidon.
Since there is a break next week, I started rereading some of fishmen island.
chapter 653
One of the most epic arc ending Chapters. Straw hats set sail from fishmen island.
- Tomate Box plot device is mentioned again
- Sharley broke her cristal ball with which she made the terrible prediction in chp. 610.
- Promise to Shirahoshi to explore a forest once they meat again (Franky and Zoro just smile but do not do the pinky promise)
chapter 1031 reaction: Loki of the Underworld
It is funny how giant prince Loki has his eyes bandaged close but he still notices even tiny details in his surroundings and can dodge Luffys punch. I guess this is observation Haki? Loki wears a huge hammer on his back, eventhogh imprisoned and chained his captors left him this gigantic weapon? The humans, who are Lokis subordinates, are scavangers in the underworld. The cursed prince mentioned how they where not welcome in Elbaph and are afraid of death wearing filthy clothes. The giant tree of Elbaph is not named Ygdrasil but Adam tree, as Loki confirmed to us this chapter! So the wood the straw hats pirate ship "Sunny" was made off comes from this island. How did Franky get wood from Elbaph from the black market in Water 7? May this be connected to Shanks setting up his base in Elbaph? Also we got Lore of the Adam tree during the Water7 arc, it is said the tree stood tall, even as countless wars where fought arround its treetrunk, this explains why the lowest level is covered in human and giants bones. I have no idea who might have stolen the Katana from Yamato in the cover story, some Kaido crew remnants?
- the beasts: are like the beasts Luffy trained with in Rusikaine while training with Rayleigh in the 2 year timeskip.
- Loki states this chapter: I am gonna kill that jerk as soon as I am out of these chains.
- anyone who expects Loki to not be a Villain after this: why?
I really like the idea that Elbaph has been at war with the world government for 800 years. This seems alright considering the giant army is known as the strongest in the world.
Chp 1123 what actually happened:
So here comes my take ... Vegapunks "plan" was explained. He erased his own memory to deceive York. He did not calculate with the arrival of the strawhats but wanted to selfishly escape to save his live.
The island clouds where mentioned as an important technology to save humanity during the great flood. I wonder if this was connected with Enel calling the people "blue sea people" and going on about how the sky islands / people living in the sky where unnatural and had to be destroyed.
chapter 135
It is revealed where wapol got his white Hippo coat from: He killed Robsons (A wooly hippo) brother.
chapter 699
Doflamingo on Kuzan:
He is no simple wanderer. Only a man who has made up his mind about something can make a face like this.
chapter 150. Wapol Topology
Wapol eats himself this chapter. And transforms into a bucket. His ttransformation is elaborately drawn.
Wapols interaction with Nami:
- Nami: Lies. She says she is not a pirate.
- Wapol chases her, gets stuck and eats himself
- Nami calls him a weirdo and runs
- Wapol is slim after eating himself. Chases Nami down and defeats her
- Luffy rescues Nami
- Nami reveals she has stolen Wapols key to the arms chamber while he captured her, being physically close
I do not get what Wapols plan was with Nami: He declares:
Now you are dead.
But he head no weapons, he was bare handed. Did he plan to eat her?
Also: The hippopotamus 🦛 makes multiple appearances:
- Wapol wears a furry hippopotamus coat, his hood is/was the hippos head.
- The Royal drum crown 7 shot tin tyrant cannon has the shape of a hippopotamus.
- Interestingly there is a cover page where Blackbeard brushes his teeth next to a Hippopotamus. Blackbeard invaded Drum kingdom first, chasing Wapol out.
- Wapols ship/submarine introduced in chapter 131 has a hippo figure-head, Wapols pirate flag is a hippo
- Wapol rides on an omnivorous hippo which can extend its legs
chapter 136
Rabbits cause a snow avalanche. Dalton is defeated because he protects the people from arrows.
Chapter 1027 reactions: Adventures in a land of mistery
- Notice: all giant civilians in Elbaph wear armor and weapons 🛡. Compare to Dressrosa or Wano where the civilians had to run unarmed when Doflamingo / Kaidos henchmen arrived.
- The confused armed giants talk about god multiple times: I wonder what they mean "the mighty ear god" and the sun god they want to notify
- Finally the yonko crew has made landfall on the island of the giants. Their 3 strongest warriors cause chaos and confusion by eating or defeating the local wildlive: giant cats 🐈, rabbits and bees 🐝. Reminding me of the Film Z, where Luffy defeats Shiki after defeating some local wildlive
- Navigator Nami manages to defeat a giant bee and hedgehog 🦔 on her own. Using Zeus lightning strikes 🌩.
- Later the Navigator and Troll (Usopp 👺) are like ants in a storm, unable to defend against the giant lion attacking. But their calls for help are heared by their 3 commerades who take out the lion in one combined attack.
- The giant tree at the center of elbaph, called Yggdrasil, looks different from what we see from Shanks side of Elbaph 🌳. Maybe it is just a branch of treasure tree Adam 🎋?
- Shanks was not resting inside a house made out of giant lego brick peaces in Elbaph, his was made out of giant logs, traditional Viking style. Seems like the culture varies widely over Elbaph.
- The outfit of the 3 yonko commanders looks epic:
- Zoro wears artic protection glasses
- Luffy wears viking horned helmet
- Sanji is a Night with armor?
Grabbing me the popcorn: This will be interesting, many weird, unknown systems are introduced on Elbaph🍿.
- Animal gigantification: The World Government failed to create anything gigantic, meanwhile on Elbaph cats, hedgehogs and bees are giant, everything is scaled giant? 📏 Classic WG L
- Why can the cat transfrom into a lion? 🐈->🦁
- Why is Yggdrasil so important to the giants? 🌳
- Some giant cultures build with lego houses? Reminds me of the building of modular houses in Scandinavian countries nowadays. Interesting we never saw these Lego houses in Big Moms flashbacks on Elbaf, indicates isolated giant cultures.
Also: Usopp before fight: 👺 Usopp after fight against giant house cat: 🤥
chapter 675
Mocha, a giant child created by Cesar clown, has a vision of her prison guard as a serpent/snake convincing her to take her drugs.
Smiley, a giant beast, does not listen to its Master, Cesar clown, eats a peace of Candy and transforms into "Land of the dead".
C.C to Law:
Monet cleverly changed her shape to follow you. And I overheard your entire plan (I think he talks about the Kaido plan)
Poor Sanjis Body is blood and bruised. But it is so tough and resilient! I am still Alive Nami in Sanjis Body. Is this gene soldier foreshadowing?
Chapter 1122 (04.08.2024)
Joyboys Conquerors Haki was preserved for 800+ years ago to resque the straw hats. I have a feeling this storage of Haki inside an object -- in this case the giant Robots chassis, is related to the creation of a Black Blade. The Haki remains alive inside an Object long after the emitter of the Haki died. This begs the question -- if armament and kings Haki can be stored inside objects (a sword and a knot respectively) can observation Haki be stored inside Objects as well? And what would a release of observation Haki do to the outside world?
- But the most important thing that happened this chapter is Kobys realization he has to stop Luffy from achieving his dream, setting up a future conflict. As he will discover the power to the ancient weapons and the worlds flooding.
- Joyboys sillouette is not that important we can tell he is a relatively young human male wearing the straw hat and a cloak. The first pirates sillhouette looks like Luffy -- wow.
- Why was Nerona Imu affected by the release of Joyboys kings Haki, despite being located far away in the protection of his castle? Because he is directly linked to the 5 elders who where directly exposed to it? This might be key to defeating the 5 Elders: Harming Imu will disable the 5 elders regeneration ability.
chapter 698
Kuzan appears and meets Doffy for the first time. Kinemons reaction to Laws plan to take down Kaido is priceless in context.
chapter 132.
Luffy wears no winter clothing while the rest of the crew does. Zoro as well.
I did not remember the lore drop: Vivi explains there are 4 seasons on each of 4 types of islands. So there are 16 seasons in total.
Stable weather means there is an island nearby.
Exceptions to this rule include weatheria, Sky islands and the island Luffy trained on during the 2 year timeskip.
Usopp about traveling to the snowy island drum island
Wait! Are you sure it is safe? If there is snow here couldn't there be a snow monster!?
Chapter 1028 reactions: RPG
- Why did the "Sun God", captor of the strawhats, leave Zoro his swords, Nami her Clima Tact and Usopp his slingshot? All the prisoners get to keep their weapons inside the prison box? It appears he was a fan of the straw-hats, or was very naive about the defense of the kingdom. This chapter funnily reflects the answer to the question: What would happen if you place a yonko crew inside a doll house as captive pets? They will destroy the doll house and burn down the kingdom it is located in.
- many complain that the straw hats are escaping from the giant instead of easily beating him. I think they are just not interested in him, they are more interested in reaching their ship.
- if the sun god ends up beeing an important character I have no problem with him. If he is another Orochi type of unimportant character, these 2 chapters of entering the fake Elbaph where a waste of time.
1124 what actually happened:
Vivi and news Morgans bicker about the news to publish. Morgans naturally wants it Sensationalist. Meanwhile the navy fleet floats silently in the stormy seas before egghead.
Unconcious sailors lie around on the decks and inside the hulls foaming at their mouths. It is a creepy silent scene. But one man walks among them and watches out into the dark waters of the stormy sea. The perfect moment for tragedy. The phone rings. Kizaru takes up. "Hey is everyone dead? Why are you the one picking up the phone?", mumbles an angry voice through the phone. ... As you can see I like the setup of that scence
Vegapunk Lilith explaination that Vegapunk is still alive are wild. What does this really mean? Did they loose their conciousness or are they still active inside Punk Records. Could Lilith build new satelites to connect to the main server -- Punk Records? Does Lilith have a Voice assistant in her headphone who can tell her all about important information?
This is one of those chapter with much talk and less happenings. But still it recontextualizes the previous chapters.
When there is a silhouette there is a break. This applies again to this chapter -- a new shadowy figure awaits at the shores of Elbaf.
Chapter1123 Predictions
- the Robot will die while fighting Saturn
- the relevance of Vegapunks giant brain floating inside a brain will be explained. Maybe it will activate a secret Protocol set up by Vegapunk once the Broadcast is stopped by force/prematurely. Egghead ended with many open questions: Who gave Luffy the food? Who deactivated the frontier dome the first time? Why where the summoned four elders forced to teleport back to Meri-Joa, while Saturn was able to stay? How did Saturn return to the mainland after he was close to falling into the water in chapter 1121?
- Saturn will be surprised by Vegapunks true intelligence.
- The straw hats escape, leaving egghead behind.
Chapter1123 How the predictions turned out:(HPO)
- the robot was not mentioned at all
- Vegapunks giant brain was shown but its purpose in connection with Vegapunks death was not explained
- Saturn was not shown at all
- straw hats escape, that one was correct
chapter 151. Wapol is defeated.
Luffy used the most advanced attack to defeat Wapl: Gum-Gum No Bow-Gun
Hee wraps his arms around his legs in a tensioned spiral. Then releasing his energy in rotaion, catapulting Wapol into the ceiling.
chapter 654
We learn about the white Ström. Undersea currents. We meet a group of whales that look exactly like Laboon and react to Brooks music The crew tries to capture undersea fish, hilarious things happen.
Chapter 1116 Predictions
- the number 16 is Imus number. 16 holy bullets, ringing the bell 16 times according to Rayleighs advice.
Robin is a Monkey D (By youtuber Randy Troy)
- Dragon mourned at Ohara.
- Dragon could have lost his first wive at Ohara, that would explain why he is so worried about loosing Luffy he always keeps him from danger while staying secretive.
- Dragon said a child is their parents weakness. When did he learn that lesson?
[Theory chapter 1123+] Luccis new Vampire wings 🧛♂️
This is rather fun speculation than a full theory. Anyways ...
Lucci was bitten by a Vampire at Egghead island: Stussy 🧛♂️. Stussy owns a lipstick contaning seastone, which she uses on Lucci to paralyze him 💄. Her character design always includes lips with heavy lipstick applied 💋. Perhaps a hint she uses the same lipstick, demonstrating Vampirism is not a devilfruit ability but some kind of disease 😷.
Rob Lucci seems like a Castle Venia type villain. Perfectionist suit and cape wearer 👔, good looking pale face, an eccentricly styled black beard. I think Vampire abilities would fit someone like him perfectly, he is stealthy, he could fly using his bat wings 🦇(not that he needs it with air walk, but it adds a factor of cool of course, may add speed and endurance to flight though). Sharp pointy Vampire teeth could easily work with his fighting style.
Stussy has already shown us what her Vampire abilities can do: Bestow a huge pair of bat wings and sharp teeth that allow to suck the enemies blood, rendering him unconscious. But the Vampire disease abilities may be capable of more, Stussy has shown impressive dodging speed using Kami-e while in Vampire mode. I imagine her age did not change because of the Vampire disease, making her eternally youthful as Dufeld questioned her age in Whole-Cake-Island.
- since Stussy has already bitten Lucci, perhaps her bite is an infectious disease that spreads the Vampire disease to Lucci and Kaku 🦠
- Rob Lucci could literally be translated to light robber, a perfect name for a Vampire who operates at the darkest hours of night.
- Rob needs a power up, as currently he is no match for gear 5. Stealth upgrade to assassinate a naive Luffy by sucking his blood would fit.
- blood sucking could even empower him with the partial strength or knowledge of his victim.
- Rob Lucci encountered the 5 Elders beastly forms at Egghead. He looked at Elder Mars with astonishment and wonder. I would imagine he desires such a beastly transformation himself, Vampirism could lead to this.
- imagine Rob Luccis in full transformation with his buff muscular form, standing before a full moon in darkness 🌝. Then add Vampire bat wings. Perfect.
Anyways Stussys Vampire transformation was not mentioned again and Egghead already ended. So I believe this Vampire ability will come back to hunt us as some Checkovs Gun 🔫.
Chapter 1122+ Theory ... Vegapunk planned everything
Taken from a comment under a you-tube video by tonyblitzar8407 under Par-Visions Video "breaking down the red line":
Unrelated but I didn’t know where else to say this, I believe the anime just gave away how vegapunk knew everything and hid it from York. They emphasized the cuffs on his hands. I believe when York catches him, he intentionally puts on sea prism cuffs which cuts of off DF aka his brain power. Thats why he could lie to York, in that moment he quite literally didn’t know and thus didn’t have to poorly lie ... My comments on that: This would be insane and recontextualize all happenings in the egghead arc, especially Vegapunks introduction, where he is stuck warping into the Robot, shouting "Quasar" -- making it more memorable when this is shown in a flashback. I believe in this moment when he first met Luffy he just hid the snail inside the robot. His Logic satellite calls Dragon and tells him he is going to die.
Ancestry Theory of Luffy and the Monkey Clan ~ Post Ennies Lobby Arc
Kalgara, warrior of Shandia is related to Garp / Monkey D Klan.
- Dragons Tattoo resembles Kalgaras Tattoo. Both cover half of the face, surrounding the eye with a pattern.
- similar weapons:
- Garp first attacks the Sunny with a giant Cannonball (after Water7)
- Kalgara first attacks a ship of enemies with a giant Canonball (in the Kalgara flashback beginning)
- Similar attire:
- Garp wears a dog mask in his introduction
- The chief of the shandian tribes always wears a dog mask during the Skypia arc The youtuber Randy Troy made an entire Video on this topic.
Luffy was quite quick to adapt to the thin air of the Sky islands.
Whitebeards hospital treatment
During whitebeards introduction he is attached to medical infusion packets with Doflamingos label. Speculations that follow from that:
- Doflamingo strived to achieve immortality himself, yet he still sells this equipment (insert Ironic meme here, from Chancellor Palpetine). Why did Doflamingo attempt to keep Whitebeard alive? As a counterforce to Kaido?
- whitebeard saw it as necessary to prolong his live. Perhaps to make Ace pirate king. As he was a selfless individual I am sure he prolonged his live only for his family and his rivals son.
- whitebeard tried to prevent the arrival of the new age, prolonging his live & vitality, as long as needed, so Ace could grow stronger to become pirate-king
Guardian Dieties of Alabasta
We see that the five elders are immortal creatures that call themself "Defense Warrior-Gods". They posess infinte body regeneration abilities making them unkillable by physical force alone. But these immortality powers are bestowed upon them by their ruler Imu who can seemingly withdraw them at any time, as seen in chapter 1125.
Pell also seems unkillable, as he survived a gigantic explosion. He also calls himself a "guardian diety" (which is equal in meaning to the title "defense god") of Alabasta and is allied with the Princess of the kingdom. I think each kingdom related to the ancient world government had guardian dieties that are blessed by the Ruler of that nation:
- Ruler Imu blessed the five elder defense warrior gods with quick regeneration and healing of physical bleeding wounds.
- Ruler Imu blessed the five elders with animal transformation abilities
- Ruler Lili blessed her 2 guardian dieties, the Falcon and the Jakal, with immunity to physical attacks
- this is why ancient Falcon and Jakal statues are common in Alabasta
- Zoan devil fruits are generally known to be more durable. Both guardian dieties have animal transformations like the 5 elders. 🦅
- Ruler Neptune (whoever ruled fishmen island 800 years ago) blessed the mermaid Princess Poseidons lineage with special ancient weapon abilities.
- The lineage factor of the Celestial Dragons, yes, even Charlos, might hide guardian diety/dragon powers 🧬
Luffy explains to Vivi that he can hear her Voice in Alabasta while she tries to explain to him a very complicated situation of the kingdom after Crocodiles plan was set in motion. This makes Vivi stop talking. She understands Luffy knows her problems and intent and wants to fix the situation -- she does not need to talk to him any longer, he understood already.
The voice of all things allows for nonverbal communication, you could call it telepathy. We see that Imu can use a "voice" to telepathically communicate with his five elder subjects. Also the five elders can nonverbally communicate with each other around the globe. Zou and Emeth both can communicate with Luffy though this voice as well. The communications between a ruler and his followers will be telepathic over long distances in the end game of the series.
I believe the guardian gods of Alabasta have the same relation to Vivi as Imu has to the 5 elder warrior gods. Vivi should be able to summon them soon.
Ths means both Pell and Shaka can nonverablly communicate with Vivi like Imu can with the 5 elders at the end of the series. The special purpose, powers and blessings of the guardian dieties will be revealed. Explaining why Pell did not die from the explosion. Currently the kingdom of Alabasta is defenseless against any outside attack by the world government, as their Princess (and ruling Nefeltari dynasty) are missing. The guardian dieties of Alabasta where created by Princess Lili of Alabasta to protect the kingdom from Imus interference.
A Giant Falcon statue is located in Alabasta, it started to Crack when pale took damage to the massive explosion, like a remote damage absorption mechanism; A woodo doll 🎎. A similar thing could explain the weakness of the 5 elders regeneration mechanism.
Interesting side note: Crocodile was hailed as the Guardian diety of Alabasta while he confronted pirates at the beginning of the Alabasta Arc in chapter 155 in the port of Nanohana. He was wrongfully called a guardian diety, which shows that the general population ...
- knows of the concept and name of the guardian diety. Where did they learn it from? Was it passed down since the void century?
- starts to assign it to protectors who defend them from dangers
Whiskey Peak fights are foreshadowing of the Void Century.
Let me recount the mirrors between Whiskey peak events and potential void century flashback: Joyboy and his crew arrived at Whiskey peak to throw a big party. Once they ate, danced, drank and told stories they fell asleep. One swordsmen (Zoro in the present, likely Ryuma in the past) faced a mercenery Bounty hunter organization in a moonlit night and defeated them while joyboys crew, the bounty-hunters target, was sleeping. Zoro introduces himself to Baroque works, specifically to a Princess (Vivi), a fake King (Mr. 9) and the princess servant (Iagram at present). This will mirror a scene from Ryumas history when he introduced himself to 3 enemies:
- a Princess; Lili in the past
- a fake King; Imu. (Mr. 9 and Imu have one thing in common: Both wear crowns with 3 tips. We do not know their real name. Though we know Imu comes from house Nerona)
- a servant of the Princess; likely a ancestor of the guardian dieties of Alabasta (for example Pells grand grand father); Once Joyboy woke up, he was angry at Ryuma for destroying the village they celebrated at and killing the inhabitants, it was unknown to him the same persons tried to imprison him and lured him with that party.A fight broke out that lasted a long time. Both where weakened by the battle, but still easily defeated remaining incomming bounty hunters. This will mirros Luffys fight vs Zoro on whiskey peak.
Related: Whiskey peak is home to countless gravestones populating the hills. Most of these crosses are shaped in a particular form we see multiple times:
- On Oars only peace of clothing the cross is displayed on white background
- Perona wears a crown with a similar cross
- the cross Kuma prays at after finding Bonney and dead Ginny the first time
- Sanji holds a similar golden cross after plundering Sky-Island gold at the end of the Sky-Island Arc from the serpents. This cross makes an appearance multiple times. The youtube Den-Den Kushi also counts these crosses appearances in more detail.
These graves belong to the fallen of the Void century, Joyboys allies. A fitting gravesite for a battle that happened close to reverse mountain, a likely location for Joyboys final fight.
Now Imu started constructing Taquila-Vulf, Vodka-Vulf and other bridges named after alcoholic drinks. Whiskey peak having a higher importance?
Kaidos real headquarters
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9fr5cZ1DwI this youtube-theory "Kaidos Road Poneglyph and the Real Headquarters - One Piece Theory +998) was wrong. But it still makes me wonder.
Kaidos favorite island is visited by Drake and Karibou in cover-stories.
And why is there also a gigantic horned silhouette, similar yet distinct from Onigashima, on that island?
It makes me feel we do not yet know all of Kaidos secrets.
- he was first shown on a ruined sky island; are there any baloon terminal one piece theories?
- where is Jack, one of his crew mates?
- what did he know about Joyboy? Why did he say: Seems like you could not be Joyboy either??
Zoro / Ryuma Clan vs Tashigi / Kuina / Venusjuro Clan
Both Venusjuro and Zoro wield Kitetsu blades, which originate from Wano. Zoro received his Kitetsu blade from Kuinas father.
An age old rivalry between two clans who will become the greatest sword-man. Meanwhile Mihawk steals the crown for 40 years.
- Mihawk killed Zoros father
- that would explain why Zoro was searching for Mihawk, and had his goal of the strongest swords-man in the first place
- Zoros will-power is astonishing.
This is a theory created by the youtuber "The crap Cafe" (The arkward title of the channel derives from Sanjis reply to Mr. 0 in the little garden arc, once he lifted the phone snail)
The glasses are the greatest hints at this.
Luccis future and fate
- Kuro, a cat. Captain of the black cat pirates.
- "Who is Who", a sabretooth tiger. He ate the saber-tooth tiger devilfruit. Both betrayed their master and are pirates. (Wild) Cats have a habit of betrayal and not listening to their master, never loosing their instinctual habits. Compare that to obedient spiritual dogs like Akainu the "red dog", Bulldog, and even Garp, who was wearing a dog mask in his introduction. All of these dogs are quite loyal to their masters, the world government.
This hints at Luccis future. He already showed disobedience in Enies Lobby, letting Luffy proceed through the under water tunnel to get the fun in combat, upsetting Spandam. Also he has a short period of disobedience towards the world government during his cover story. Threatening Spandam to get released. His instinct to fight and blood-lust often overwrite his strategic sense.
Lucci is proud on the scars on his back. It resembles the world governments symbol. Compare this to Zoro who never wanted any scar on his back. Pride is not his primary concern. Lucci shows concern for Kaku and his pigeon, his companions. He even mentions his companion Kaku to be spared by one of the 5 Elders (Saint Marcus Mars). The entire theme of egghead island is that some instincts or desires can not be controlled. Examples for this include the Mecha Shark attempting to eat the 1000s Sunny instead of capturing it, making it necessary for Vegapunk Lilith to intervene. This also applies to Cyborg Kuma being seemingly uncontrollable due to some unbroken instinct in him. Primitive desires overwrite rational orders sometimes in living beings.
I think Luccis predator instinct, pride and self preservation will win out, he will disobey when asked for self sacrifice or if he is regarded as an insect by the 5 Elders.
The Pinkerton connection to the design of CP0.
The Pinkertons are a private detective group who wear distinct heads in all media I encountered them in. Cipher-Pol Agents of all kind also wear distinctly designed head.
- Lucci wore a black hat in Ennies Lobby.
- Lucci wears a white cylinder at Meri-Joa
- Guernica touches his headcramp to adjust his heads fitting before Kaido kills him.
- Lucci touches his headcramp to adjust the head before he starts fighting Luffy at water 7.
Cipherpol in the last arcs will morph from a combat agency to a detective intelligence agency. This will fit or conclude Luccis character transformation as well.
Sanji and the Spear of Germa ↗️
Judge is the current leader of Germa66. He uses a spear charged with electricity to fight.
- Sanji is shown in the Viking color spread wearing a Spear, while wearing a similar armor to that which he wore in chapter 1127, the start of Elbaph.
- Sanji mentions a spear of conviction during his introduction at Baratie. This seems very random. Until we meet his fater who fights with a spear.
- Sungod Nikas shadow was shown with spear and sword. I believe they might stand for Zoro, who is a swordfighter. And the spear might be Sanji.
Sanji is a cook who will never get his hands dirty while fighting 🥘. This is why he fights with his feet rather than his hands. I think that was a funny writing decision, and a good one. I hope Sanji will not change his fighting style, but since the Exoskeleton I think Sanji will become more and more willing to fight for Luffy.
The Eyebrows twisting hint at something more for the character.
The Spear is offensive fast and precise. It might be used by knights and even scouts. The spear might carry the banner into the final battle.
Dark Justice
Weakness is a sin. Necessary evil is needed to Vanquish enemies. This "justified" the execution of all hostages taken by pirates, as they swore to protect their destroyed kingdom in Rob Luccis flashback. Lucci now has come face to face with the 5 elders Monster/Demon-Forms. He seemed surprised, but did not close his eyes from the truth, he only kneeled before Saint Marcus Mars. He did not kneel when Zoro scared his front.
I wonder if this is related to what happened to Lulucia the other day? ~ Rob Lucci, in the egghead
The "Cipher-Pol Zero" Agent starts to question his Masters, how will this end for him? Is an agent with such a willower fit to serve other Demons?
Luccis Blood-lust overtook him. Instead of fulfilling his mission to kill Vegapunk he used this opportunity to fight Luffy and find out about the true power of Gear 5.
We come from the Shadows. But we are Agents of Justice.
Luccis interpretation of dark Justice may still hold surprises.
As always there is more to come. Until Next time. ~ Vinlan D, one piece youtuber who developed this theory.
Lucci might betray the world government. He seems to develop into a detective who wants to understand the worlds government power hirarchy and secrets.

Gigantification research Considerations
The forced gigantification research in humans is a piece of research that has been in the works for centuries.
This is stated by Trafalgar D. Water Law in Chapter 668
This may relate to Joy-boys alliance consisting of giants. Both Zounisha and the Giant Robot Emeth are huge. The World Government want to achieve similar power to Joyboy but fail at every turn ending with sad immitation. The One Piece Youtuber Gabiru D. Rat mentions a concept from an older story: Laputa the castle in the sky being immitated by a kingdom Bornybabi(?) beneath it, but every copy of Laputas inventions ends in failure.
Cesar clown researches gigantification. But his child experiments fail and end in early death, meanwhile Giants have three times the human livespan. We do not know the extend of Vegapunks gigantification research yet, but I think he experimented on prisoners in Punk Hazard, even before Cesar took over. Vegapunk was unwilling to do the research on children, but pirate prisoners where usable test-subjects for him. This is why we see so many frozen giants inside Punk Hazards freezer in chapter 660.
The numbers are research projects from Punk Hazard, tehy where developed before Vegapunk did research. They resemble ancient giants. But are mentally still children despite being 100s of years old. Useful for a pirate crew, but not to form the core of an army.
Even Vegapunk attempted gigantification research but was deterred by ethical considerations (how far did he go?) All the giant species in the One Piece world are indepent from the world Government. No ancient giants like Oars junior are allied with the world government. The island of giant animals and people is Elbaf and not allied with the world government.
I consider the gigantic fighting fish that can be found around greenbit and in Dressrosas Colluseum part of gigantified animals that are not controlled by the world government, they might even relate to Emeth the giant Robot: The fighting fish appeared 400 years ago when Emeth raided Meri-Joa.
The tree chopping Bucaneers.
Blackbeard first ships where rafts made from raw timber, the rafts where made so crude, like he chopped them down himself. Blackbeard is first mentioned in the story in Drum Kingdom. A heavily forested island. A character called chopper (another term for woodcutters) is named in the island, where his Master, Dr. Hiriluk lives inside a giant tree. Dr. Kureha also has her medicine facility (her operation room) inside a giant tree, as we see in chapter 144. So I propose Drum Island is where Blackbeard cut the trees for his first raft pirate-ship.
The Bucaneers where allies of Joy-boy, this means also pirates: The Arc Noah is built from wood, and the sea kings talk about a special tribe being able to repair the damage Luffy caused, if they still exist in chapter XXX.
TLDR: Bucaneers where a tribe of wood cutters. They built the Noah. Blackbeard is a member of that tribe. Choppers name relates to that.
[Theory] Foxys devil fruit awakening created the calm belts.
First a quick reminder: foxies devil fruit is a Paramecia fruit, that allows for the creation of "slow slow particles". These particles slow everything they touch.
- Hitting a human means that human moves slower and is easily attackable in a given time-frame
- Hitting an object like a flying cannonball slows its down, so that a human can ride on it.
We have seen Logia elements affecting entire islands, even 2 years after the awakening was used on said location: Punk Hazard. Huge landscapes are transformed to volcanic wastelands or icy lands, where the snow never stops falling. Now to the creation of the calm belts: The awakening of foxies fruit would only affect regions where the slow beams where shot. The waves and air are affected: They move slower, giving the impression of constant calmness: No winds nor waves.
I think Joy-boy ordered the creation of the calm belts to protect the grand line and thereby the One Piece, maybe even many allied kingdoms are located in the grand line for this reason. Amazon Lilly is an example for a kingdom located in the calm belt, unaffiliated to the world government.
Theory after chapter 1116. The All Blue.
Prediction on how this will end:
The Arc Noah was built to protect those who can not live in the ocean: Humans. Some fish men may forgive the humans for enslaving them… others will not. In the end there will be a battle to sink the Noah with the entire worlds population on board. A repeat of the Ohara refugee ship. But this time the heros of the story will save the boat.
The all blue might relate to the flooding of the entire planet. It would be connected if the red line is broken, or submerged.
Sora, Warrior of the Sea
It is quite weird. The enemy of the germa66, famed from the comic books, bears actually the same name as the wive of the king of germa kingdom? Who created the story -- perhaps an enemy of the Germa Kingdom. What inspired Judge to create the genetic power-ups of his children. What does the 66 stand for. As judge alludes during his combat with Big-Mom: Does the 66 symbolize a period humiliation and defeat? Anyhow Germa kingdom lost its land and have become a sea-steading nation, perhaps another Lulusia like incident?
Also the story of "Sora Warrior of the Sea" might mock Germas isolation as a nation without land.
Law mentions during Wano, that stealth black was a villain with invisibility powers in the comic books he must have read as a child. Sidenote Alpha: During his fight with Absalom in thriller bark Sanji mentions becomming invisible was always his dream power. The suit he received 2 years later, purpose made for Sanji by Germa66 was designed to give him that power.
I will have to look into the timeline of these events. Was stealth black invented in this Comic strip before Sanji and his brothers where born?
There are multiple parallels to Soras abilities, Vegapunks abilities and Germas abilities. Sora of the story controls a gigantic humanoid Robot that can swim on water. And wears a special hero-suit. Vegapunks Vegaforce Robot seems very similar to Soras Robot. Vegapunk Lilith is introduced in a Robot swimming on the ocean. Exactly like the Comic strip of Sora of the Sea envisioned her. Technology was more advanced in the past of the ancient kingdom. Germa kingdom technology is saught after in the whole world as it is quite advanced as well.
Doflamingos plan with certain devilfruits
While Laws devilfruit was the key to Doflamingos plan to become king of the world with its 2 most important abilities 🔑...
- the personality switching operation
- the immortality surgery Doflamingo also took unusal care of the rest of his crew. Perhaps he fed them their devilfruits on purpose so each of them could fullfill a special role during the infiltration of Meri-Joa to obtain the treasure 🏅.
- Pika and Senior Pink both ate devilfruit to manipulate Rock and Stone. Perfect to infiltrate the cellars beneath the red line and the town environmnet of Meri Joa. Pika was also able to lift the palace plato of all of dressrosa. Creating mountains like that is very useful during the global flooding period.
- Doflamingo reacted very carefully when Giola was taken hostage by Law. He did let Sanji and the other strawhats escape to protect Giola. This makes me think Giola had a special role in his plan to defeat or bind Imu in an abstract painting. Gyola trained this painting when she defeated the straw hats at first. Momonuske is captures in an arkward shape that looks like Imu.
- Baby5 as the simple weapons factory?
Doflamingo was very certain in two decisions. Sacrificing Monet, and getting rid of Violet. These had devilfruit powers that where not essential to his plan:
- Monet - Snow Logia 🌨. Might relate to the snow-queen theory.
- Violet - a useful spying and mind reading ability 👁
- Trebol - after Trebols death he called him an idiot but was not overly worried and continued usual combat operations. Also trebol had his power before Doflamingo created his plan.
- Diamante. What would this useful for?
He was also very certain he would not need the fire devil fruit 🔥. Of the rare Logia type. Otherwise he would not host a game whith this rare Logia fruit as the real price. Anyhow this shows Doflamingo had access to a source that provided Logia devilfruits of recently deceased people. I think this source might be either CP0 or the World Government directly. Does Imu control the source of devil fruits: The Devil fruit tree 🌳? The Celestial Dragon hosted game about rare devilfruits at god valley seems to hint at this.
Imu is a D
- the villain would reject his clans fate.
- the celestial Dragons say: The D is the natural enemy of God. You will always be gobbled be up by a D.
- Imus transformation has a giant mouth that gobbled up Sabos fire - a nobles sons fire.
- Imu seems to breed and fatten the Celestial Dragon for some purpose. Maybe human sacrifice?
- similar to how the dragon in Punk Hazard was fat and loved by the celestial Dragons
He posesses the frozen Strawhat, an ancient weapon and a potrait of Nefeltari D Lily inside a hidden flower garden. Artifacts someone concerned with dead relatives graves would keep.
Internal conflicts in the D. Clan are not rare. And other D. Clan members are interested in becomming king of the world, the position Imu holds, lets call them "The evil D":
- Marshall D. Teach
- Rocks D. Xebec
How did they even become aware of such a position being existant? An ancient conflict paired with secret knowledge by "the evil D" might explain this situation.
as Imu states in chapter 1084, the D do not even know the truth behind their name. Is this only because Rocks was defeated? Blackbeard is a dilligent researcher and will question the history as well.
Treasuretree Adamtree/Warland name theory
it still needs to be explained why Warland has its name. And why Adam bears the name Treasure tree.
Dorry stated a very simple thing in chapter 117:
If we can die with honor, our death can be glorious. And that honor will be the eternal treasure of our homeland.
Homeland of course means Elbaph in this case, which has the gigantic treasure tree adam at its center. The previous statement seems to hint that the tree absorbs liveforce or souls of warriors as its treasure. Like the ancestor trees the Shandians prayed to, before Noland cut them down.
Usopp replies:
So honor is a treasure
Could the sunlight tree Eve be working with a similar mechanism? Other keywords might include
- devilfruit tree
- treesap: it is elastic and forms Bubbles in the Sabaody archipeligo, which is related to the bubbles raising into the sky, bubble Bondolas carrying pessengers all the way up the red line. Bubbles are only stable in the atmosphere surrounding the Eve tree. Sleeping gas seems to relate to the surrounding atmosphere of treasure tree adam.
- Shandian ancestor trees
- tree feever desease
To speculate further: the tree might absorb live force to grow bigger. Countless souls must have perished for the tree to reach its enormous size. Its micro-climate might influence its surroundings to grow bigger, this is why humans living close to Elbaph slowly morphed into giants.
Franky also recounts
Caribou is a member of SWORD - Parvision
The Sword Officer Prince Gruss can create Gollums, creatures from Mud that seem like human Logia Users. He used them while Garp was rescuing Coby on pirate island. Blackbeards Henchmen thought these Gollums where Logia Users, while in reality they where just clay figures.
These Gollums can talk. Caribou also seems like a Human Logia user made out of mud. He is known as a Marine killer and wanted to join Luffys crew after the 2 year time-skip. Later he captures the fake straw hats and wants to bury them -- while praying to his Lord. Later the fake straw hats are shown to be inside a navy prison in chapter XXXX. Caribous cover story make him even more suspicious XDrake Captures Caribou while Caribous crew do a military salute in chapter XXX.
Also he is called a wild Beast, once Luffy, Zoro and Sanji detect his presence in chapter XXX using observation Haki on the fishmen island castle. Previously I made a theory on "Caribou hiding a parasite". But now I started to believe he is an entirely artifical creation, like Parvision.
Why is Caribou praying intensively to the "Lord" during his introduction in Punk Hazard?
Heard this SWORD theory by you-tuber parvision.
Warland
This lead me to the theory that the giant warrior pirates are outcasts and joked about for their weakness by the true warriors of Elbaph who live deep inside the island. Elbaph may be organized in multiple defense rings, where each ring is at war with its neighbors. This would explain the name Warland Elbaph, a land at constant war with itself to evolve a capable growing defense against outside invasion forces. Giants seem to be thick headed, easy to anger and its common among them to fight decades long battles as Dorry and Broggy have shown.
Frozen Giants.
Giants in One Piece have been frozen multiple times.
- During Punk Hazard frozen giants where hidden inside a giant freezer, waiting to be experimented on, in chapter 660 Nami and Chopper enter this giant freezer. The frozen subjects are stored inside Ice-Cubes. One of them looks like one of the numbers. Some are human sized, but most are abnormally large.
- In Thriller Bark the giant Oars was frozen, his cause of death: Hypothermia on a cold island, until moria stored him inside a giant freezer to awaken its corpse into a Zombie
- In Ohara Saul was frozen using Blue Phesants attack "time capsule". He survived this freezing.
- Garp is larger than the average human, and was frozen after combat. Whitebeard was also frozen breefly in Marineford by Ajokiji
- Oars Junior was freezing in the snow in Wano. Ace told him how to weave a giant straw hat to protect him from the snow and also the sun.
- in little Garden Broggy is in the process of being transformed into a solid wax figure by Mr. 3 in chapter 123. After he talks to Zoro in chapter 122 he has a smile on his face that started to solidify because of a solid layer of wax formed on his skin in chapter 123. Call me crazy, but this might relate to the frozen giant theme. Their smile being preserved for eternity after their death is the embodyment of One-Piece inherited will.
- sidenote: In Impel Down a frozen prisoner is commented upon: Will he be preseved for the future or is he dead? Not to mention the giant frozen straw hat in the freezer cellar under Meri-Joa. The point is: Frozen giants repeatedly make an occurance in the story
The Yeti cool brothers, a species of furry white Giants, seem to be freezing; while they are specialized on hunting in snowy environments.
To speculate further: Giants great weakness seems to be frozen and cold places. But the ice also preseves their bodies well. What is the point of this? Oda hints reviving an ancient giant army from its frozen preseved state is a major plot point.
On a related note: Freezing giants ... does that remind you of the freezing Yeti cool brothers? They wore straw-hats. A giant Frozen straw hat is located in Mary Geoise.
Nami Importance
In chapter 130 the straw hats escape a Storm because Nami predicted the storm before it happened. Vivi states:
I have never seen a seafearer like her
And this might become important again, especially before reaching Laughtale and other misterious places. Additionally she has photographic memory and can instantly remember maps, as shown in the beginning of the Elbaph arc. This memory powers could lead to her dream, drawing a map of the world. Perhaps she could draw such a map from memory.
The seas and weather will become especially turbulent once the planet floods while ancient weapons are used. The strength of a good navigator will become important once again 🧭
Navigation based on visible cloud formation, and weather prediction is important.
https://100r.co/site/weather.html
Weather reading based on patterns while observing the sky can be undersood to predict weather and wind.
- anvil shaped clouds are formed when cloud expansion hits its limit at the Stratosphere. They indicate nasty weather approaching, when the anvil points at you
Nami seems to be able to read air-pressure like a Barometer. Low preasure fields indicate approaching storms. Sudden changes in pressure indicate weather change.
Wapols purpose
Walpol? His devilfruit allows to eat everything, but he prefers to eat anorganic materials, or does so most at the time, like steel, wood or rope to create Wapol-Metal. He creates a strong valuable alloy that franky used to build his post timeskip constructions. Perhaps he will supply Franky again. What is sure is that his devilfruit ability and random chance made him a walking money printing mashine.
Wapole mall?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvlrYIVaLtk
- How common is the name wapol?
As mentioned somewhere else: Wapols symbol is the Hippo 🦛. His coat is made of furry hippo fur. His pirate flag is a hippo with a crown. And his submersible ship bears the figurehead of a hippo.
- chapter 364 giant hippo chasing the strawhats in cover spread.
Yuderon chapter 1131 summary - Duality of the Eve and Adam tree 🌳
For those of us who do not want to watch Yuderons Video with english subtitles, while he talks fast Japanese. Here are some of the key points he made.
Consider the 2 trees and their duality
- Treasure tree Adam
- Sunlight tree eve
Recount the story of Adam and Eve of the old testament:
- Adam and Eve where banished from paradise once they tasted the fruit of good and evil, after a Snake persuaded Eve to taste the forbidden fruit
- Adam was punished with hard labor
- Eve was punished with the pain of childbirth
Now lets recount the ways these trees, Adam and Eve, are opposites of each other: Sunlight vs Death at the roots:
- beneath sunlight tree Eve fishmen island is blessed with sunlight in the surrounding dark ocean
- beneath treasure tree Adam there is a underworld prison, where the sun died, and eternal winter prevails
Hell vs Heaven at the top:
- as Sabo stated: who could have guessed Hell is located up here in heaven, once he meets the 5 elders monster forms
- we still do not know what is at the top of Adam tree; but it is likely prince Hairudins/Lokis palace
Note: Adam tree and Eve tree are inversions of each other. Loki befriended 5 monsters at the buttom of Adam tree. Imu enslaved 5 elder men with monster transformations at the top of Sunlight tree Eve.
Loki is imprisoned at the bottom of Adam tree as the shame of Elbaph. Imu is the hidden ruler of the world at the top of the Eve tree.
Eve trees roots reach beneath the red line to fishmen island. Above it Meri-Joa is located.
Loki is like a snake trying to persuade Luffy to set him free. His powers will be likely snake related, similar to Imu.
Warland vs Peaceland? Elbaph is known as warland, the land where war was born. A succession war between 2 princes, Hairudin and Loki is likely, after the latter killed their father king Herald. MeriJoa is at peace. The 20 kings left their swords at the empty throne, leaving Imus rule uncontested.
Other, less important dualities / opposites:
- Sabaody archipeligo is warm. No one wears winter clothing there. The sun shines. This Mangrove archipeligo is very close to the Eve tree, and might even be an extension of it.
- Elbaf is a very cold island for those who arrive first at the coast-line in the underworld
- Eve tree is hidden completely under the red line. Meanwhile Elbaf is visible from far away, a proud tall standing gigantic tree.
Similarties:
- It was mentioned the bubbles used at Sabaody can only be used for transportation close to the Mangroves, the climate surrounding Eve seems ideal for these bubbles to remain stable.
- the climate is ideal for bubbles and island clouds at the Adam tree, as stated by Vegapunk in chapter 1133.
- Vegapunks Robot can only fly in the climate Zone generated by his weather manipulation mashine on egghead.
Sidenote: Enel Wanted to destroy the sky islands, because they where unnatural. Is the climate created by Adam and Eve unnatural?
More related: The Shabyody Mangrove aren’t actually trees, there just the branches of the Eve tree.
Mrs. Golden Week
Currently watching Gabiru D. Rats Video on the voice of all things. He speaks of the history of the French revolution and the insane scientists that lived during that time: for example the snail telegraph -- this story lives on with Odas Snail Telephones. Mesmerism, a hypnotisizer from Austria who later moved to France.
- flag-bearer of freedom Marianne is "Mrs. Golden Weeks" real name. France personified.
- Golden Week is a holiday week in Japan.
The color trap is not a devilfruit technique.
-
Color Trap:
- laughing yellow
- black
- calming green
-
Luffy is hypnotized by accident. susceptibility to Hypnotizability, very stable. Fantasizer, vivid imagination. The third eye, spiritual awakening. Empathy and disposition towards observation Haki.
Boa Huang: Protect the Emperor.
Klabauterman Theory
Pluton was a ship. Why would anyone be afraid of a ship? Maybe if that ship developed an ability to control itself.
Ghosts ships are popular in one Piece.
- the going Merry sailed without a helmsman or from Water7 to Ennies Lobby.
- the technologically advanced ghost ship that miraciously arrived to save Franky with Cyborg-Modification parts after he was lethaly wounded by the Sea-train
- the ghost ship Brook staid on in the foggy Florian Triangle for decades as a Skeleton.
- the flying Dutchman is said to be a ghost-ship traveling the bottom of the sea.
Gigantification Experiments theory
- the world government is extremly interested in gigantification research. Both Vegapunk and Cesar continued the gigantification research
- giant horned skulls appear in Punk Hazards beginning, as well as in Onigashima.
- the numbers are failed gigantification experiments bought by Kaido. They loose their intelligence and get childish and playful, also alcohol addicted, in return for massive body size and forms comparable to ancient giants and very slow aging.
- theory: The Joyboy candidates become gigantic horned and childish monsters (like the numbers) in their final stage, the disease is forcefully enacted by Imu, to make them unable to fullfill Joyboys promise
- giants can be shrunk to human size as the giant prison in Elbaph demonstrates. Bees(Stingermol) and other animals a gigantic in Elbaph. Warland seems to have unlocked the pinackle of giantification research.
- add to that the fact Kaido saw himself as the next Joyboy and was an ancient Oni.
16 Theory
Chapters that have the sum 16 relate to Imu or Celestial Dragons:
- 16 holy bullets was Doflamingos final named attack against Luffy
- Celestial dragons like to kill victims with 16 gunshots
- Chapter 277, digit sum 2+7+7=16 introduced the arc maxim. Was titled "Maxim"
These animals need a lot of food, they eat other animals and are competitors.
- these animals fought each other to death to eat each other and conquer territory
- the few animals that remain are the biggest and strongest; They where called Mountain gods.
Blackbeards future flagship -- Thriller Bark
Actually I have multiple theories regarding Thriller Bark, there are multiple facts about it that have not lead to a conclusion yet. This is why it will become relevant again. During the thriller Bark arc Brook mentions that the ship is originally from West Blue. This seems weird: Why does Brook know this -- because he is from West blue originally. This seems to hint at a Brook back-story we do not have gotten yet. Also this raises the question how the ship voyages over the red line between the west-blue and the grand line on the paradise side.
Thriller bark can pass the red line as Moria showed without even having a large crew on board, as most of his zombie soldiers would have died, from paradise into the new world. The thriller Bark was last seen in front of Blackbeards home base Beehive island and I doubt Moria can use it for his escape. The worlds biggest pirate ship would be fitting for Blackbeard. His pirate fleet consists out of mass produced rafts, that still needs a flagship that prominently sticks out of the fleet. He has a giant in his crew who is already called giant battleship, but who is also a devilfruit user who would be more useful if he had a ship to support him.
Thriller bark combined with Blackbeards black hole would make a truly horrifying location. As the giant mouth gate of the flag ship opens darkness sucks in BBs enemies into the ship. Perhaps Thriller Bark was originally built by the first awakened Darkness-Fruit user to enhance his abilities, similar how Enel built the arc Maxim to multiply his destructive capability.
We know the world sinking beneath the oceans. This will make land scarce and valuable. A floating island ship like Thriller bark would be a valuable asset for Blackberd. The ship is special as it is the only ship where a giant forest grows -- allowing for plant growth in a oceanic water-world would be very rare. Perhaps luring in unsuspecting humans searching for land in the flooding ocean into thriller barks prominent feature: its giant mouth gate. Symbollically it would consume human travelers. Blackbeard may use them as free slaves or add them to his pirate fleet.
White Rabbit Theory. Zoro and snowy places.
Zoro rests in snowy places.
- in chapter 106 Zoro sleeps during a snow storm while the crew faces the challanging environment 🌨
- in chapter 115 Luffy asks:
Is it going to Snow?
Zoro replies:
No way.
Luffy answers:
It is gonna Snow. You do not know, because you where asleep when it happened before.
Zoro is clueless about snow in the open ocean and he slept through it. Very specific. And it is weird that this is brought up at the beginning and ending of Whiskey peak (For example watch "one pace" - Episode 115 where this scene is also included)
- in Wano Zoro is healed by Hyori after his combat with Killer in the Snowy provice of Ringo. He rests in a house in a roof covered in heavy snow.
- Zoro trains in the frozen snowy kingdom of drum island without his swords, he also admires the landscape, seems like he is on a side mission or vocation. He is not fighting Wapol - the main villain of the arc, he just barely witnessed his defeat by Luffy.
- in chapter 139 Zoro is seen wandering through freezing the woods without clothing after surviving the avalanche the snow rabbits caused.
- Zoro needs to steal swords and winter clothing from the guards in Drum island to fight them in chapter 141. He did not take his swords with him, something that never happens again to my knowledge.
- Zoro defeats & beheads a dragon on the hot Magma part of Punk Hazard, the dragon is dead - no chance of survival. The straw hats even eat the dragon. But on the winter part Zoro and co. are rescued by brook from getting shot at by Brownbeards men. Zoro also cuts Monet - a snow Women, in the cold part of Punk Hazard. Monet later comes back and wants to destroy all of Punk Hazard in a gigantic explosion. Zoro left a major threat to live. He seems more efficient in the hot part of Punk Hazard then in the cold one.
To conclude (A): Zoro seems tired and weaker in cold places. He wants to rest in these cold places. Or: Zoro is at peace in snowy places and is not on guard in them, since they remind him epigenitically of his ancestors home: Snowy Ringo.
In these snowy places a hunter might show up that "evolved" to hunt Zoro and his like. (A)
Sidenote: Luffy mentions that people born in cold places never sleep to Sanji. Luffy himself seems very cold resistant. In multiple arcs like Drums island chapter 132 he does not recognize the cold until others tell him and survives climbing a high cliff without winter clothing.
Zoros ancestors hail from the province of Ringo. A snowy province, where corpses of ancient fighters like Ryuma rest, preseved for the future.
Zoro contradicts Luffys statement from drum kingdom. But only indirectly, since he was not born in Ringo directly but in the more temperate Shimotzuki village. Or maybe the statement was not universal but referring to normal people, who are more like pray to Zoro. (A)
The mascot of the Shimotsuki Klan which controlled Ringo is a fox. A snow fox called Onimaru, the pet of the former leader of Wano, defends the graves of the Samurai when Zoro arrived. Zoro fights Onimaru, who can transform into a human Monk form. Onimaru later accepts Zoros presence in Ringo.
Zoro also means fox in spanish.
To conclude (B): Foxes the Shimotsuki are linked to foxes.
Lets combine both previous conclusions (A) and (B): The perfect enemy of the Shimotsuki clan are snow rabbits (vs. snow foxes). The straw hats meet a Monster resembling a white rabbit before they reach Sabaody Archipeligo. Zoro is attacked by a white rabbit, her name is Carrot, in Zou.
The youtuber "Gabiru D. Rat" heavily delves into the theory, take this as a short appetizer: In his "Twilight Bunny Theory" and his theory on Carrots dark past. Carrots dark past and Kaidos 4th Calamity - Killer Rabbits Carrots dark past and Kaidos 4th Calamity - Killer Rabbits
Internal Conflict between the D
There are many cases where members of the D. Clan Fight.
- Gol D. Roger vs. Rocks D. Xebec (at God Valley)
- Monkey D. Luffy vs Marshall D. Teach (at Impel Down Prison)
- Trafalgar D. Water Law vs Marshall D. Teach (at Rocky port and that other island(?))
- Monkey D. Garp vs Monkey D. Luffy (at Marineford)
- Monkey D. Dragon vs Marshall D. Teach
- Monkey D. Dragon vs Monkey D. Garp (we do not know the extent of their conflict, but Garp brought up he was dissapointed in his son, who was a former marine)
- Monkey D. Garp vs. Gol D. Roger (it was a fierce rivlary that ended with Roger asking Garp to take care of his son Ace)
This Clan is far from unified. Imu vs Joy-boy is just another 800 year old fight between members of the D. Clan.
Imu is a D hypnotizer, and dragon breeder ~ December 2024
Prepare for a dark theory. This one may be the darkest you will ever read from me. It contains references to human cattle and sacrifice.
This theory attempts to answer the following questions:
- why did Imu not eradicate all the D during the past 800 years?
- What is the purpose of literally breeding the clueless Celestial Dragons in Mary Geoise, when they know nothing about the Void Century and have no fighting capability?
- why does Imu want to retrieve Nefeltari D Vivi? Why did he collaborate with Nefeltari D Lili during the void century to the point, where a blunder of his ally could destroy his entire plan?
For that we will take the following quote by Corazon in Chapter 764 literally:
If you do not behave, you will be gobbled up by a D. This is supposedly what the celestial Dragons tell their children, if they miss-behave. This "getting eaten by a D" part of the quote is way more interesting than the "Enemy of god" part for me.
Note that Punk Hazard starts with Zoro beheading a fat Dragon in chapter 656. The Dragon has a fat belly, he is also not very intelligent as he bit of his own wing during the fight with Luffy. This forces the airborne flying dragon to land and be hunted down by Zoro. Luffy immediately mentions:
Man, this dragon looks tasty! ~ Luffy to Zoro; Chapter 656 The flames here should make for a good BBQ. ~ Zoro to Luffy. Akainus fire on Punk Hazard prepared a good grill for cooking the dragon meat 🍖. Then the straw hats proceed to eat the Dragon. Later in chapter 657 Luffy mentions: I ate a Dragon, so I have Dragon power. That is quite monstrous, if we replaced the fat PH Dragon as a symbol or placeholder with the Celestial Dragons, who are fat humans. The Celestials are defenseless without battle experience, they do not have smarts to escape dangers, nor fighting strength. I will come back to this later, but I think Imu brought the Celestial Dragons into that degenerate state deliberatly, look at Saint Charlos. Brownbeard later mentions that the Celestial Dragons loved their pet dragon (Luffy ate it) which was created by Vegapunk and even gave it a name (Chapter 664). The Wording getting
gobbled
up by a D in connection to eating Dragon meat in PH brought me to this idea ...
Law questions Corazons "getting gobbled up" statement in a similar way:
Am I supposed to be a Monster or something?
Yes I believe the D. Clan are a Monster tribe. This is also why many among them have conquerors Haki, subconsciously they want to hunt monsters for meat, which means dominating and standing above their enemies "a disposition to stand above others" so to speak. At the moment the world is turned "upside down" as Roger told Rayleigh. The pray -- the mounstrous fattened celestial Dragons have become the hunters of the D, while living in Luxury and abundance. In the long term this lead to a evolution of the predator D, this process is planned by Imu.
The Celestial Dragons are bred and get good food, like Lobster mentioned during egghead, to become nutritous pray for the D. This will serve some demonic purpose to strengthen the D Clan and make it obedient to Imu. If someone feeds Luffy meat he becomes quite obedient and trusting, this has been shown as a joke multiple times. Luffy is also weak to getting hypnotized, as miss golden week demonstrates in Little Garden.
Hypnotize !? Oh no! Hypnotic powers would be devastating against a simple minded fool like him! He would not stand a chance. ~ Zoro Chapter 124, Little Garden
Zoro mentions Luffys weakness to hypnotic powers. 😵💫hypnosis is Luffys greates weakness.
The D Clan must have a purpose for Imu to keep them alive, probably to create an invincible hypnotized army, lured by the Celestial Dragons. Gol D. Roger created the only pure bred D. we know of in the story with his wive Portogas D. Rouge, Portogas D. Ace, he believed would become the user of the One Piece. Perhaps Roger learned about the value of pure D. blood in the coming hunt for the Celestial Dragons in Laughtale.
In the German legend "Siegfried" bathes in dragon blood to become invulnerable, his skin becomes armor leaving a small spot on his back as the weak spot. I think the D are meant to use the Celestial Dragons blood for a similar purpose by Imu.
The 20 founders of the World Government left their swords at the empty throne. This means surrendering their own fate to the World Government -- the 5 elders and Imu. Imu transforms into some kind of monster while he fights Sabo. He gobbles up the flame of a nobles son. He also plans to gobble up the rest of the worlds nobility, as he has shown no passion for them whatsoever once they stop playing the rules they had been assigned, look at Donxihote Mjosgards execution.
Doflamingo looses his cool and makes unprofessional mistakes in his fight with Law, when he reveals the D in his name in chapter 768. Is he afraid of a Monster hunting his family again? Once a celestial Dragon falls from heaven he becomes pray to the D.
To Conclude: Imu prepares the Celestial Dragons, and their entire situation, as targets for the D Klan, to lure them to Meri Joa and hypnotize them with irresistable appetite.
Sidenote Omega: In chapter 157 Luffy reacts weirdly to the sea cat. He gets ringed eyes and wants to eat it. The monster has to escape after sensing danger from Zoro, Sanji and Luffy.
A dragon lives in Enoshima. The living being closest to the gods-that is the dragon. I wonder if you can eat dragons?
- Eiichiro Oda, 2000 Starting Quote from chapter 109
Good One Piece theorists
Daks Sake A theory Video on the ancient kingdoms power source by It is always sunny in ennies Lobby, Daks Sake recommended it. (I like these networking effects) I want to add to his theory. I believe Vegapunk was on the right track: That souls where the power source. Why did he keep Cipher-Pol agents in the basement of the egghead laboratory for devilfruit experimentation? York wanted to extract their souls to create new Lunarians, green blood or devilfruits!

The story of the 5 Elders
I believe the five elders where former Cipher Pol Agents. The World government and the marines have existed since the void century, and they preserved their commando structures and hierarchy since 800 years. The introduction of the 5 elders was very similar to the introduction of 5 CP9 members in water 7. I refer to a color-spread that shows Rob Lucci with his black bull mask. Black Suits, Animal Beast themes and secret agents -- apply to both CP9 and The 5 Elders.
Chapter 1115: How did the Fish-men not notice the ancient cities beneath the sea?
Answer: They sucked at map and chart making. Arlong tried to enslave Nami to get a good map maker to map the sea-floor of the oceans. Only this way he envisioned the fish-men dominating humanity.
Also the ocean may cover 70% fish-men may only have explored a tiny fraction of this since they where released from slavery 200 years ago. It never made sense to me why the fish-men gathered under the red line, under Mary Geoise at fish-men island. Like Moths flock to a flame they all concentrate in this tiny island. Ideas:
- untamed Sea Kings will attack fish-men. Chasing them away from the ruins.
- Jinbeis cover story (chapter XXX) shows him exploring under water ruins.
- the fish-men know about the Sun. Sun-God Nika. Path towards the Sun. Tom building the ship for Gol D. Roger.
The Snow Queen Theory
Usopp built a snow sculpture named the snow queen before Whiskey Peak. In chapter 106.
- the snow queen might be related to Imu. A heart of ice, dead yet alive.
- Luffy destroyed the snow queen using his own snow sculpture: snowmen who "fell from the sky"
- Luffy fell down from the sky, landing in front of Nami, when he was grabbed by a giant bird and flown to orange-town.
- there is a good theory by youtuber Tainted Marth on the very old animated Snow-Queen movie check it out. He concludes in part that Imu may relate to the heart of ice the Snow-Queen posesses in the movie.
People born in snowy countries never sleep. ~ Luffy to Sanji, Drum Island Ark
Never sleeping is necessary to keep total control of the world. Imu seems to have an all seeing eye. Similar to Enel, who observed all of Skypia with Mantra, Imu observes the entire planet. Imu seems to be able to communicate and telepathically interact with the 5 Elders, are they just his mouthpieces?
are Giant Warrior Pirates the Giant army?
Supposedly the giants have the strongest army in the world (according to BigMom), yet we have seen the giant warrior pirates lackluster performance. Of course they tanked the egghead buster call quite well, and even played with battleships like Toyboats, but this pirate crew does not seem worthy of a Yonko Bigmoms attention. The giant pirates do not use Haki and only brute strength, like their giant archers sinking boats with .... giant arrows. Their captains Dorry and Broggy may only use Haki with their strongest attack -- Hakoku sovereignty.
The Ox LLoyds, Joyboys pirate ship
After the Marineford war ended, Luffy rang that "Ox LLoyds" bell in chapter 594 in a flashback 🔔. Rayleigh advised Luffy to ring that bell 16 times to signal the approach of a new era.
Since Rayleigh has knowledge of the true forbidden history of the void century, perhaps the Ox Lloyds bell could be an artifact of that time. Rayleigh, realizing its symbolic historical purpose as well as its prominent location in Marineford, at the marines door-step, ordered Luffy to ring it to send a multi-layered message to the World Government. This event was popular enough to spread around the world and indirectly reaching all of the Strawhats.
The bell was quite large in comparison to Luffy, you could say it was gigantic as he stood under the bell to ring it in the anime, in the manga, sadly, it was still above Luffys head, but smaller.
Most of joyboys surviving crew members are gigantic creatures, Zounisha and Emeth both a freaking huge. So, if he was a pirate, he needed a giant ship to transport them. I believe that ship was the Ox Lloyd. Captain Kids right hand man killer new for some reason that the Ox-LLoyds bell was once mounted on an ancient battleship, hinting at its importance even in the pirate-world.
If the ornaments surrounding the bell are also from Joyboys pirate ship that would be another huge reveal. Seagull motives are prominent around the bell, hinting it is marine property. We know Joyboy was the first pirate. It would be ironic if the seagull was his sign or flag motive. Joyboys pirate-fleet would become the Law-enforcement agency for the newly formed world government while keeping the seagull motive.
Things that can not be stopped. The Ebb and flow of the ages 🌊. The tides of times ⌛
Hearing in chapter 1113 that the world will flood, I immediately thought about Rogers words from chapter 100 "the legend begins".
These things can not be stopped.
An inherited strength of Will.
Ones dreams.
The ebb and flow of the ages.
As long as people hunger for freedom these things will exist. -- Gold Roger, King of the Pirates
The ebb and flow can not be stopped? This leads me to the thought that the flooding can not be stopped, and is inevitable, for the evil and good will have to deal with the flooding consequences differently. This is was Rayleigh meant when he said the straw hats had to find their own conclusion to the hidden history. How can this be, seeing the blatant evil the world government has committed?
A core part of the defeat of the world government may be the flooding of the world. Before the raid on Ongashima began, Law, Kid and Luffy face a sea battle, they bring up the important quote:
When you are at sea you fight pirates.
This indicates pirates are most effective at sea battles. The marines can fall back on giant marine bases like Marineford or G5, the pirates meanwhile have to fight for survival on the sea. The water is the place where they spend the most time during their travels, gaining special knowledge of navigation and ship maintanance. The pirate king is the ruler of the oceans of the world, as Luffy explained to Enel, after he cluelessly asked what country the pirate king rules. Only pirates can survive in a world flooded by water, in a giant battle royal they would be in their natural element. Flooding will assist the pirates and fishmen.
The fishmen will face another difficult decision after the world is flooded beneath the waves: Will they use the Ark Noah to rescue the humans who enslaved them in the past? Mr. Morji; A one-piece youtuber uploaded a related Video on the topic of the flooding of the world and the fishmens poetic decision, back when the One-Piece chapter of Vegapunks broadcast came out.
Blackbeard is a Buccaneer
In chapter XXXX Van Augur and Devon are talking to Saturn about Blackbeards special lineage. They openly tell the five elders they want to take the world from him, which means Blackbeard is not planning an alliance with the world government again. As the current world government is responsible to erase the tribe of the Bucaneers, except for Blackbeard, he would have a reason to dislike the world government. leading him to become a pirate. Bucaneers have huge bodies and especially large upper body. This applies to Blackbeard, where even Marco, a skilled Doctor recognizes his body is not normal -- or human. Also Buccaneers have strength, which made small child Kuma able to earn a living on being a wood cutter. We see Ginny and Kuma transporting wood to the city to earn a living and pay their food. Blackbeard also has natural strength that made him able to give Shanks the 3 Scars over his eyes.
Blackbeard has a significant connection to wood chopping: His pirate ships are rafts, made from giant logs.
Dragon watches over Luffys journey theory
The weather is suspiciously often on the side of the straw hats.
- a lightning strike defeats Buggy the Clown before Luffys execution
- chapter 100 Dragon defeats the marines stationed at Louge-Town
- fog hides the straw hats escape from whiskey peak
- at Sabaody archipeligo post timeskip the elders of Weatheria wonder how the wind luckily carried them
Yes, I believe Dragon manipulates the wind or weather in Luffys favor sometimes.
Who is in danger 🚨
Some islands are in more danger than others. Water 7 should be well prepared, as indicated by Iceburg at the end of water7 he states to Franky:
I will make this island float
Thriller bark island is already floating island ship, so there should be no problem for that one, yohoho 💀.
Long-Ling-Long island, Sabaody archipeligo and Windmill village on the other hand will be devestated by the flood and need help ⚠️🌊. Kayas village seems to have some elevation, as indicated by the ramp Kuro was defeated on. And Kayas Mansion is built on a hill. They should be fine for longer. Drum island has high platforms, and Kurehas castle is on top of such a high Plafrom. Nice 🕶🏰.
Dressrosa and Alabastas capital are both built with on platforms. Dressrosa is even protected by a surrounding rock mantle. Wano, Elbaph and Zounisa, and all nations not associated with the world government have found high places to stay on: Coincidence? I think not.
Doflamingos plan with devilfruits
Thoughts on Organization & Workflow 📜
I plan to publish my one piece theories & Analysis on a static site, approximatly located on this path on my PC harddrive:
/home/username/Documents/programming/html/hugo_test/onepiece
From there this will be broadcast into the depths of the internet using static site hosting providers.
The site is created using Hugo. I consider it also as a computer experiment: Dabbling in the realm of static site creation.
The theories & analysis are organized as follows:
- the title gives a very short topic hint
- they begin with a list of facts from the One Piece story, hopefully with approximate event classification (for example "end of Whiskey peak arc"), or exact chapter numbers. If I find the time later, I will try to add chapter numbers to each fact.
- The theories start with light speculation, but get more insane the further sections you read. You can stop once the disbelief is to big 🙃
- I will not add images to my theories, this makes the website lighter, faster to load, and friendly to blind people. Open the Manga at the referenced chapter numbers yourself.
- I will occasionaly try to reference other onepiece theorists, the community is very big, but I try to add original thoughts to their ideas, even if I mention them. But do not feel forced to click on youtube-links I will try to make your reading experience as comfortable as possible. I feel text based one piece content is lacking in comparision to the video based discussions.
- sometimes it is hard to differentiate between Analysis (listing facts or identifying apparent author itention) and the Theory (likely event prediction based on Analysis)
Mrs. Golden Week Powers
Currently watching Gabiru D. Rats Video on the voice of all things. He speaks of the history of the French revolution and the insane scientists that lived during that time: for example the snail telegraph -- this story lives on with Odas Snail Telephones. Mesmerism, a hypnotisizer from Austria who later moved to France may relate.
- flag-bearer of freedom Marianne is "Mrs. Golden Weeks" real name. France personified.
- Golden Week is a holiday week in Japan.

Boa Huang: Protect the Emperor.
the goldfish trapped in a spherical cage
- Queen Otohime was a goldfish mermaid
- She wanted the real sun, but there was a fake sun of the eve tree lightning a spherical town surrounded by darkness. Sounds like a prison to me.
- goldfish inside glass balls might never see the real sunlight, but always be exposed to artificial light sources. The Eve tree is such an artifical light source, the sunflower that shone light on the Smile production factory, where the Tontatta where enslaved, in Dressrosa is another.
- flocking like moths to a flame; As the rest of the sea floor is dark and cold, while the Eve tree seems to supply some habitable conditions?
Dragon hides the source of Vegapunks broadcast (Failed theory)
Dragon behaves quite weird before chapter 1113: He does not talk, only showing "..." marks in his dialogue. Seems like he knows something or has doubts about limited information he has. Also he is hiding and staying hidden in Kamabaka Queendom in paradise, while the greatest events take place in the new world during Vegapunks broadcast.
Vegapunk can also teleport: Shown during his introduction stuck half inside a giant ancient robot shouting "". This would explain why Dragon only stays in one location: His home base. Vegapunk came to him to instruct him to protect his hosting of the broadcast. By that Dragon would be forced to stay where he is, while the secrets of the world government are revealed to the whole planet, which is definitely in the Revolutionaries interest. This would also explain why York has no idea about the broadcasts source.
- proven wrong: the Robot hosts the broadcast snail of Vegapunk.
- this theory was created by One-Piece youtuber: Joyboy theories
- I believed in the theory, its points where plausible and would have made the Revolutionary army look more competent and knowledgeable.
Lets Go!
One Piece is a story about pirates exploring the oceans of the world, circumventing the globe in the process, it is written by japanese Mangaka Eicherio Oda since 1997. Hopping from island to island the pirate crew finds wonders, villains, history and secrets hidden in an unkwnown dark past. Lets explore! 🏝 ☠⛵
Lets sit back and enjoy while the final Saga is unfolding as of 2024 🍸🍹.
You should assume the theories refer to the latest chapters. I post here are often short, incomplete and not fully worked out theories, like a conveyor in a factory they will move here for study and refinement in future work processing & cycles.
Some theories mention chapternumbers like XXXX (chapter 1000+)or XXX (chapter 100-999). I just have not jet gotten around to reopen the chapter for the exact number. Will do so in the future 😅.
They will ripe here with time like the fruit on the devilfruit tree. Oh, I am getting ahead of myself. ~ Me, 2024
The Defense Realms of Elbaf
So let me characterize the defense rings / realms / levels of Elbaph:
- Outer defense Belt: Pirate outcasts live at the coast.
- the coast is defended by pirates only ~ they do not like if outsiders point a gun at their hometown (RIP captain Kid)
- Shanks has set up camp there, keeping a fragile peace
- Government agents like Mother Caramel where only able to infiltrate this outermost ring, not further inland, before she got banished from the land for Big Moms tantrum.
- Giant beasts comparable to the five elders beast transformations in size roam its forests, as Dorry and Broggy recount at egghead
- frequent incursions by the inner rings force the pirates to escape outwards and seek fame and ressources in foregin lands
- giant mountain passes make it difficult to intrude further inland (as shown in the Shanks vs Kid Anime episode, these mountain scenery feels like the Alps of Heidi Girl of the Alps)
- Inner Defense Ring: Giant Army fort
- giants skilled in the use of Armament and Observation train here, hunting giant beasts.
- the greatest honor is to become a personal guard of Prince Loki
- the Palace guard of king Loki recruits from their ranks.
- this is the Army of giants Big Mom wanted to attain by marrying Prince Loki with her daughter
- Innermost ring: Yagdrasil / Adam tree
- a giant tree seems to grow in the center of Elbaph. Perhaps its inspired by the legend of Yagdrassil "the world tree"
- Prince Loki chills in the Palace and his honor guard reside here
- Adam wood is sold here, making this region extremely rich.
- Conquerors Haki users are common, nocking out approaching invaders with ease
- ((Treetop)): The entire defense of Elbaph is centered to protect this treasure. Only a brave warrior of the sea can reach it ...
In reply to someone about the theory: Yeah, I thought Oda could reveal something about the lore and structure of Elbaf soon. So I decided the time was now or never to post this theory. The name of the theory was partly based on the security architecture of operating systems, since Linux also uses privilege rings for securing the system against unauthorized access. Ring 0 has the highest privilge, any Virus would get into that ring... Ring 0 would be Lokis mansion
Abenteuer in Laughtale [German/Deutsch]
Chopper: Robin, was steht dort geschrieben?
Joyboys apology Headcanon
A giant whale swam through the water, curiously inspecting the giant wooden ship floating under the sea 🐳. The Arc was sinking ⛵. The whales giant eyes slowly wandered over the deck until they stopped at a small human standing in the middle of the Deck. Rays of sunlgight became dimmer as the vessel sunk deeper and deeper beneath the waves 🌅. Joyboy looked into the ocean above. He had taken off his strawhat. His head was protected by a bubble that fit around his head. "This might be the last time I see the sun. Goodbye." He noted whith no visible emotions on his face.
The whale made a sad noise before finally silently disappearing in the misty under-water landscape 🐋. Joyboy looked after the whale, one of his friends, before replying: "Do not worry, I told you." Joyboy looked at the Poneglyph behind him, before a faint smile wandered over his lips. "As I told you: Do not worry, I will help you win this war, even after my live is over 💀."
I swarm of ancient whale sharks accompanied Joyboy into the darkness of the sea. His Last Journey towards his death awaited 🦈. Soon mermaids followed the silent posession 🧜♂️.
"Take a last look at the sky. It is the last time you will." Imu told Joyboy with a fiendish look. Joyboy heared his voice roaring inside his head, eventhough he was far away. Joyboy spoke while looking into the sky: "You won for now. But be prepared for defeat in the future. Does my Haki still scare you that much? Are you unable to get closer and have an honest fight?"
Mihawks Average day.
Precisely he cut the onions into thin pieces. The pieces where very thin, thin enough to see through them like milky glass, indicating the sharpness of the kitchen knife, as well as the skill of the cook. The stove was hot and the butter was already molten and bubbling in the pan. Mihawk added the onion with one hand. Garlic with the other. A faint smell of fried onion permeated the kitchen while steam rose from the cooking place.
Mihawk cleaned the knife with a piece of white cloth while looking out of the window. Dense fog rose between the dark green pine trees and dense clouds covered the dark densely forested mountaintops. The Marine Hunter enyojed the peace and quite at this estate he fought for his entire live. A loud call interrupted the Silence. " It smells so good! I persume the food is ready?" The ghost princess 👻, one of his guests, had arrived at the door.
Slowly mihawk rotated his head toward her. Before he began speaking calmly: " No, but be at ease, please wait in the dining room."
Deutsch/German
Head-canon for chapter 1125.
Lucci and Kaku stand at the edge of the Sky islands of egghead, with Punk Records behind them, while it drifts higher into the sky. Lucci wears his white cape and hat again, but the 3 scars on his chest are still prominently visible. Lucci: Seems like this sky island will rise into the sky, saving Punk Records from the raging fire below us. Kaku: Do you plan to destroy it? Kauku looks at Luccis bloodied fingertips, he knows what happened to Stussy. Lucci grins menacingly and looks into the distance. Lucci: You can feel them escaping at the horizon too, right? Kaku: Their Haki has grown tremendously, Zoro is not good at hiding his presence. Lucci: He wants us to know. Both watch silently at the setting sun at the horizon, the direction the straw hats set sail in with the giants. Meanwhile inside Punk Records ... Inside the dark chamber Vegapunks brain towers impressively. Bubbles rise through its holding water tank. Stussy bleeds from the mouth while sitting on the floor next to it. Some machine around her are destroyed and smoking. Stussy has taken her Vampire form again, her black wings and sharp fangs are prominently visible. Stussy: Vegapunk ... Or should I call you Punk Records? You are still alive somewhere inside this machine, right? The brain responds with silence.
At Meri-Joa the five elders have taken their usual seating positions. Mars stands again. No one wants to talk. Venusjuro cleans his sword again. Saint Mars begins talking anyways:
Mars: They escaped. Its time to modify their bounty posters. Venusjuro: They have taken Vegapunk Lilith away. This is unforgivable.
Jupeter stares at Luffys Bounty poster. Thoughtfully he looks at the "Dead or Alive" writing below it.
Jupeter: It is time to change this bounty posters writing to only dead. Mercury: ...
Mars: That would be still a too drastic move don't you think? We have one Bounty hunter who takes only the only dead quests from us. Mercury: She will get involved at this rate... Venusjuro: Her bounty hunts are quite expensive even for me as the global finance Minister.
Meanwhile at the giant ship. Zoro sits at the railing and stares at the horizon. His eyes are shaded as he has his predator grin while drinking some booze. Sanji arrives next to him. Sanji carries a plate with steaming food.
Sanji: What are you doing again Mosshead? Slacking off? Zoro: Twirly brows. Finally you have changed your outfit to a professional waiters. You still look ugly though. Sanji: I was worrying too you would keep wearing your slim full body Neoprene suit. Zoro: Huh?
Zoro draws his swords. While the two get into a fight.
Usopp still builds some contraption in the corner of the giants pirate ship. His slingshot lies besides him. Meanwhile Dorry starts to talk to Nami. Dorry is quite drunk from the celebration having red face.
Dorry: I figure you will be interested in the geography of our home country, home of the giants.
Nami is busy looking at her lock-pose that starts to re-calibrate. But still she gives her thumbs up.
Nami: Yes, of course. Dorry: The coast is inhabited by giant pirates, they are strong and stubborn warriors if I do say so myself. But in the center of the island prince Loki and his honor guard reside. Nami: Prince? Does he have any treasure? Dorry: The most valuable treasure he inherited is a giant tree, the honor of Elbaph.
Nami walks off disgusted, while Usopp takes note of the conversation.
Dorry rotates his head toward Usopp.
Dorry: I will tell you about the chief of the honor guard, Goliath.
Chapter ends, break next week.
I wanted to incorporate the most common criticisms of one piece into my head-canon here, to "fix" them ha-ha.
- Rob and Kaku become independent assassins. When no one higher ranking is around they act quite confident on their own, like in the beginning of the arc. Also they flex their observation Haki by noticing Zoros and others presence at their event horizon.
- it is implicitly stated that Lucci does not care about Punk Records. He only damaged it in his battle with Stussy but does not recognize it as hostile, he is more interested about Zoro and the Straw Hats strength, quite in Character for him.
- the missing depth of the pirate hunting bounty system is overshadowed by a "only dead" system being introduced by the five elders (perhaps Dragon would have been part of this system all along)
- Zoro flexing on Kaku and Lucci from outside their line of sight is just applying the rule of cool. Shanks showed something more impressive vs Greenbull, but Zoro begins traveling down this path.
- The Lore of Elbaph is introduced quickly to hype up Ussop more. David vs the giant Goliath is re-imagined as Usopp with his slingshot ... vs a giant called Goliath, who is in the honor guard of Loki.
