Yeti Cool Brothers Analysis
One Piece theory: Sleeping Gas and the Yeti cool brothers
So this is a really short theory. We know now there is sleeping(hypnotic) gas fog zone before you reach Elbaf. This is how Road captured the sleeping straw hats 🌀😴 .
The Yeti cool brothers also laid the straw hats to sleep in punk Hazard using sleeping gas. This way they defeated Zoro, Sanji and Brook by laying them to sleep. I thik they took the sleeping gas from exactly that fog zone, where Road also got the sleeping gas and filled it into a bottle.
I think this connects the Yeti cool brothers to Elbaf. specifically the under world for obvios reasons:
- they wear gas-masks, just like Lokis underlings in the underworld 😷
- they are very cold resistant, well suited for the underworld with constantly snowing freezing climate 🌨
- they are specialized to hunt in snowy mountains. The underworld of Elbaf is very mountainous. Theory:
- Yeti cool brothers get sleeping gas from the fog before Elbaph before they deploy on their bounty missions ⛵🧠#onepiece #onepiece-theory
Further Analysis and Speculation on the Yeti-Cool Brothers
The following write-up on the Yeti-Cool brothers was created in the last year, but still carries relevance.
The Yeti Cool Brothers; Special Minks?
Tldr; The Yetis where allies of the ancient kingdom 800 years ago a type of Minks living in snowy mountain kingdom. Since the defeat of the ancient kingdom they hide in the mountains using rebel tactics and earn their living as guns for hire.
The snowy mountain assassins – Rock & Scotch captured Franky (for his laser, but Nami was in Frankys body due to Laws personality switching operation, so … 🤷) in chapter 667.
We never show our faces, and there is no way for you to beat us! ~ Rock, chapter 667
Why do they hide their faces. What are these misterious creatures hiding beneath their gas mask or shaded head?
Large icicles drip from their heads. This reminds me of the frozen straw hat at Meri Joa. Their faces are always hidden in the shaddows. Scotch appears to be wearing a gas mask, and a huge canon-gun capable of shooting gas granades, indicating the Yetis know some higher level technology.
- in chapter 666 Luffy identifies them as two wild beasts using his observation Haki.
There is definetly something out there .. like two wild beasts!! ~ Luffy
The mountains are our backyard. Nobody can catch us here.
- they use hit and run tactics in the mountainscape
- they use their footprints to misguide and lure enemies into traps; referencing the legendary bigfoot sightings in our real live. Also bigfoots face is a mistery to us, just like the Yeti-Cool brothers are to the inhabitants of the One-Piece world.
People can not help but follow footprints in the snowy mountains ~ Scotch chapter 667
- they use their speed to escape their opponents once noticed and outmatched. Luffy could not keep up with them. Indicating extreme speed.
- their rifles are like canons. they are most efficient at long range like snipers
- they use their environmental conditions, topography and terrain features to defeat enemies. Causing avalanches and use ice-spike-traps.
- poison gas to put enemies to sleep
- they behave like Monkeys with their climbing speed, similar to Bigfoot.
We have poison rounds to. ~ Rock chapter 667
Icy mountains are full of weapons ~ Scoth after using an icepeak lavine to hit Luffy and Chopper
This leads me to the theory: They experienced the great war during the void century. Facing a superior military they have to resort to the previously mentioned gurillea tactics. Making them experts in snowy mountain combat with hit and run tactics. This knowledge has been passed down the Yeti Generations.
- note how Luffy never froze at drum island until someone told him his clothing was inapropiate, similar to Rock being told he should put some clothes on after he recognized how cold it is.
- their freezing antics seems more like a joke tradition, since they are hunting in the freezing cold for days in underwear, and their epithet starts litteraly with snowy mountain
- Kinemon nearly froze to death in chapter 669 but they are just fine, while even Sanji and Zoro wear the best winter clothing on the cold side of Punk Hazard
- rock and scotch come from an unknown snow country, meaning they come from a nation unafiliated with the world government, mentioned by Brownbeard in chapter 666.
This leads to Speculations:
- the Monkey D family names indicates their relation to Yetis / Monkey Minks
- the Straw hat Roger or Luffy wears looks like the Yetis hat. They might be creations of the same culture.
- their body lenghty build (long arms and legs) are hints they are from Long Ring Long island, where everything is the most free"
- indicating Joyboys / Nikas interference on that island
- the withe fur relates to nikas white color
- their straw hats they wear links them to the ancient kingdom
- straw hats where cheap to mass produce, but where only conserved in the cold of the poles and and snowy winter islands, rotting to earth everywhere else for 800 years.
- note the silhouette of the shaddows of Rocks in chapter 667 on page 7:
- his face looks like Luffys face from the side, while the shaded straw hat with the snow and icicles makes the similarity even more obvious
- the Symbolism of the Yeti Cool Brothers
- they are snowy mountain assasins hunting in the artic landscape Ajokiji created on Puk Hazard. they would not fit as well into the region without the admirals power. Could they even survive, if it is not cold in their habitat?
- snow and ice conserve history well, hinting at the relation of the Yetis to the void century.
- the frozen criminals at Punk Hazard remind us of the conserving power of ice. people can even be unfrozen, while time essentially stops for them.
- Giants get very old in One Piece. the Numbers created at punk hazard get even older. these snowy mountain giants should age even slower in the cold mountainscape conserving their flesh
- Brownbeard is interrupted while he wants to tell the age of the yeti cool brothers in chapter 666, he is interrupted at 25…. what if he meant
250
? 2500? - the name of their mysterious type of giant is still not revealed. I wished Brownbeard was able to speak more before Nami interrupted him.
- Brownbeard is interrupted while he wants to tell the age of the yeti cool brothers in chapter 666, he is interrupted at 25…. what if he meant
- immediatly after defeating the Yeti cool brother “Trafalgar D Water Law” states his plan to defeat the Yonko
- the Yeti cool brothers “appear when a blizzard strikes” ~ Brownbeard in chapter 666
- the D always bring a storm. Dragon strikes in Lougetown with a storm.
The D always bring a storm ~ Trafalgar D Water Law
- Rock was defeated by Chopper in his beast form using an iceberg
- I doubt he is dead
- Scothch was defeated by Law using the same cut he later used on Vergo: seperate the torso from the legs.
- counter shock to finish him off
- “silhouette piece”, is a funny title One Piece readers give the story, since many characters are introduced and shown as shadowy figures many times. It arguably started with the Yeti cool brothers. We never see their faces besides in an SBS. Again a bigfoot reference?
But I shall never forget that glorious silhouette for as long as I live ~ brook Chapter 669 recapping their attack by Rock and Scotch
Sidenote Zeta: Both Yeti-cool brothers are named after alcoholic beverages. One Yeti-cool brother is named Rock. Rocks name resembles Rocks D. Xebeks name.
Sidenote Omega: The shadowy appearance of Lokis underlings in the underworld of Elbaf clearly reminds us of the Yeti-Cool-Brothers. And they even wrap themselfs in animal hides.
