Kuro, Character and Name Analysis
Hey, wanted to share my captain Kuro analysis and ideas here 😾⚫🌘🌙.
The last time we saw captain Kuro was chapter 40. Now in chapter 1072, 1032 chapters after he left the Imu parralels start to become apparent.
Lets start with Kuros impact that lasts until today:
- his first mate Jango is a powerful hypnotist 🌀 (without using a devilfruit power) that made one of his appearances in chapter 907 sitting at a table while Garp talks about Rocks, a famous forgotten pirate
- his “death” organized by captain Morgans (he was tricked by hypnosis) lead to promotion to a marine captain – a rank his son Helmeppo has not reached even as of now (chapter 1085)
- the last time we see his ship depart is in the chapter 127 cover story. Most likely the ship sank because its ceel was broken by Luffy, but we know Kuros survivorship skills: He captured an entire marine ship by his lonesome on a liveboat 🚣.
- the concept of name (the D clan is just one example) and its relation to identity is fundamental to One Piece. The conflict of getting your name and identity known in world wide press and living a live in peace is first shown in Kuros arc - this is where the connection to Imu begins …
Hunted by marines and spies and bounty hunters I grew sick of the relentless harassment. So, on that fateful day three years ago … I decided I had to die !! Black cat pirates crew Mates: Oh … that day … yeah … the incident ! ~ Chapter 37
Imus Celestial Dragon Plan ~ Dec. 2024
Imu is a D hypnotizer, and dragon breeder ~ December 2024
Prepare for a dark theory. This one may be the darkest you will ever read from me. It contains references to human cattle and sacrifice.
This theory attempts to answer the following questions:
- why did Imu not eradicate all the D during the past 800 years?
- What is the purpose of literally breeding the clueless Celestial Dragons in Mary Geoise, when they know nothing about the Void Century and have no fighting capability?
- why does Imu want to retrieve Nefeltari D Vivi? Why did he collaborate with Nefeltari D Lili during the void century to the point, where a blunder of his ally could destroy his entire plan?
For that we will take the following quote by Corazon in Chapter 764 literally:
Character Relations Diagram ~ Chapter 1133
I experiment a little with the d2 diagram language. In the process I created a small One-Piece character relations diagram. It contains some factions, sub-factions and characters that may become relevant again as of chapter 1133. It is adjusted to current event and faction importance. For example it does not contain the 7 Warlords-Faction, because that one is no more 💀.
This diagram is very simple and in no ways complete. But it still hints at how organized and structured the hierarchies in the One Piece world are, even in its simplistic state. All Factions can be split into smaller and smaller sub-factions, with their own preferences, until you reach the atoms of these groups: The characters. Lets discuss factionts and their internal structure:
